What is up with the weather here ?

In my life time i have never seen the mississippi river go so insane. there was always flooding but never on such a large scale. hopefully this will stop as farms are being swept away. oh great food prices will rise.

tornadoes have ran wild. hell there was even one in mass. i can't ever recall a tornado in that state. i have never witnessed that. i don't recall being in hk hearing of tornadoes running wild in china. hopefully this isn't a common thing. china is a big country.

the kicker it has snowed in may and in june in some states. as we speak there are people skiing out west. good lord has hell frozen over. another thing is if the snow melts it can ruin the land around it.

when i was in hk typhoons would come. but a lot of time the warnings were canceled or down graded. knock on wood. but as we all know weather affects mongering. so girls watch those weather reports. not many punters like to run around in a typhoon or in heavy rain. i remember one guy did that and he was drenched but the girl made him happy. sad thing is after the punt he had to go back in the rain. oh well that's life

CC,

It seems like it is definitely more than Global Warming.  Also do not forget the El Nino effect and the commencement of the hurricane season.

I had a friend that was caught up in a tornado and he had to make a split second decision whether to stay in his car or leave it.  If he stayed then he would risk the car being lifted away and if he left the vehicle then he would be more vulnerable to flying debris / projectiles.  My friend opted to stay in the vehicle and pulled over to the side of the road as his ears "popped" from the change of pressure.  Luckily not much happened to him with only minor damage to his windshield.

It would be good to know what the proper emergency procedures are as you may literally have to make a split second decision.

as I understand it the 'official' advice is to get out of the car and hide in a ditch ... certainly most of the survival stories seem to have an element of being below ground ... but it's a tough call.

we actually need rain here. ironic one week it was too much rain no we are in a drought almost.

there is so much flooding in the us that two nuclear plants are threatened. last thing we need in this world is another nuclear disaster like the one in japan. but i wonder it is not in the news anymore but how much damage is still being caused by that as we speak
