while you wait

hey there!
Am not sure what sort of passport you have but most nationalities can get one at the border (luowu only i believe) while you wait. It'll be only valid for 5 days and you can't leave the SEZ but what the hey...Alternatively, just grab a double visit one from the China office in Wanchai (next day pick up available). If you have a HKID you can even apply for a 6 month - 12 month unlimited entry.

not true anymore for U.S. passport holders, BTW. They also did away with the CTS service where you could go into the office in the morning and get a visa by 6pm.

For US passport holders without a visa to China and in HK, the fastest way to get a visa is to go to the China embassy in Wanchai.  If you go early in the morning and plead a medical emergency, you can get a visa the same day.  Otherwise, it's next day.
