How to get around the disabled mouse right click on 141 DB

Following the disabled function on the mouse right-click to copy images from the 141 Girls DB, below are a few options on how to get around this issue for bros to write wg reports with images. The tips provided have been suggested for non-geek bros to aid them in writing their 141 reports

Drag & drop images to either desktop or your web browser address bar
If you are using either Firefox or Internet Explorer, can drag the image you want to download to your desktop and it will be downloaded automatically. Alternatively, you can drag the image to the Firefox’s address bar. Doing this will load the image in the browser and you are now free to right-click on the image and save it.

Firefox users using page info to save images
For Firefox users, follow the below instructions to save images
        1. In Firefox, go to Tools → Page Info.
        2. Click on the Media tab.
        3. Look for the image you wanted to download in the list.
        4. Click the “Save As…” button.

Enable Right Click on web sites
Please follow the instructions below to disable javascripts and enable right click on either firefox or internet explorer.

Firefox users:
        • Go to Tools –> Options
        • Click on Content tab
        • Uncheck the box saying Enable javascript
        • Restart Firefox and you are done.

Internet Explorer Users:
        • Go to Tools –> Internet Options
        • Click on Security Tab –> Custom Level

        • Scroll to Scripting
        • Disable it.
        • Restart IE and you are done.

Once you are done with copying and saving your imags, enable javascript option on your browser again.

Print Screen
Alternative method is to use print screen the webpage and crop where necessary in any image editor application. However, this is not the optimal way but the last resort if the above options don't work for you.

thanks

strikes me that is so comprehensive, and also so straightforward that anyone can do it

... which means ...

the competition can do it just as easily as anyone

... which means ...

admin might just as well re-enable right click, for the sake of high-quality reporting!!!

lol drag and drop...would be so easy to just keep clicking on each girl in one window and dropping into folder into other window...really no point to disable right click as this method is much faster than right click "save picture as" method.

The admin has disabled the right click function but hasn't said no to show bros on the forum on how to bypass this problem.

D'art, yes, having forseen the commotion, over the weekend I already asked admin if its possible to teach you guys how to re-enable the right click function to which there was no problem.

Of course, AP beat me to making a post.
But just to add:

Disabling javascript also means that while you can right click again, when you click on the photo, it won't appear.

Therefore:
1) If you want to grab the DB photos:
  • use AP's drag and drop method

2) If you are right clicking on the DB to open new tabs/windows for different girls etc...:

disabling javascript...hmmmm

2 points

1st - I need javascript and so will many bros, in order to log into work apps online, and I doubt many of us are patient enough to keep disabling/restarting our browsers, then enable and restart our browsers every time we want to check out the site for new girls.

2nd - keep in mind most bros wont be so technically sophisticated to start messing with their browser settings and that the problem only hinders the very people that the site is marketed towards.

I think we all understand and agree that the reason the admin did this is a valid one, however the implementation of the change goes against the purpose of the site and in fact does not prevent the issue of image stealing when there are so many other ways to do it...most of which are faster and easier than the right click method.

Like I said in post #5, point 2.
Don't disable javascript and bring back right click instead using my method.

yeah I use it all the time

sometimes it clicks on both pages (is it really harder to click back than to go through all the other rigmarole??)

but usually after I've logged in and opened a couple of pages it clicks through OK, without moving off the first page.  seems a bit hit and miss at the moment, if I figure out how to get it to work consistently I'll post again ...

RIGHT CLICK PROBLEM on MAC using CHROME (only started about a month ago.... before it worked fine...)

I use a Mac and the Incognito Window of Chrome so that my history is not recorded....
I still have the following problem... started about a month ago...
- I cannot right click and save a picture on my computer from a db picture both Eng & Chin forums. I can right click and save a picture from a chinese forum report.
- I cannot go to the Chinese forum by clicking the chinese link on the top right corner on any girl's webpage.
- I cannot right click on a girl's name to open the link in a new tab. I have to view it in the cumbersome way of clicking on the link and then using the back space and go back to the DB page or updates. Before i right clicked and opened multiple tabs and then viewed each easily...

If any one has any suggestions about a solution.... thnx for helping out...

Angst .... thankx for leading me to this thread

Thank god for this explanation, I thought it was just me that couldn't right-click. I thought to myself, "I'm sure I used to be able to right-click."

you can still open multiple tabs by holding down Ctrl as you click

what it actually does is navigate to the link and open an identical new tab ... which is a bit irritating, since you have to then navigate Back on the first tab ... but that way you do end up with the pages open in multiple tabs ... and it's only a mouse-move different from right-click / open in new tab, which is also two clicks.

this works in Windows, not tested it on Mac ... perhaps you can try it and confirm?

except that when you go back on the first tab, all the girls are randomly re-ordered again.

example, click TST, then click Hotel Girls to show only HG in TST.  Random list of girls appears...maybe you see two or three you like...you CTRL click on one to open in new tab...new tab opens with that girl...the page with the list of girls also clicks through to that same girl...so you click back...FAIL...the list is now totally re-ordered and good luck to you trying to find the other two girls again that you wanted to click on.

admin, please change this back...there are so many ways to get the images, right clicking isn't even the fastest way, so please restore this functionality to let us punters find the girls easier!

Its not going to happen.
And I don't see what the problem is, unless you're using a mac in which case I can't help troubleshoot.

But if you go to post#5 and do what it says in the link I provided. You get every single function that right-click normally gives you, available again.

the problem is,

a) most users of sex141 are probably not also using the forum too, so they will not see your post#5
b) those users that do register for a forum account may still not be tech savvy enough to implement your "enable right click button" hack
c) those who use macs are not able to do so at anyway

disabling right click only restricts functionality to the punter, it does not prevent image theft
(dragging and dropping an image from the website into a windows explorer folder is so much faster than right clicking anyway for this purpose, or just browsing all girls then raiding the cache)

therefore it fails as a method of image theft protection and only makes the user experience harder and more frustrating for those who just want to find a girl to go punt

all I ask is that you relay these concerns to the admin,  if nothing changes, then nothing changes.
But IMHO isn't the point of the DB to be able to drum up more business to the girls??? then the user interface should be as easy to use as possible, rather than providing a handicapped/flawed experience.

The issue with opening a tab and the list of DB girls gets re-ordered.....

I'm using Win7, IE9.  The way around this is to "Mouse wheel click" to open a new tab or "Ctrl+Left click" to open a new tab.  BUT YOU MUST CLICK ONLY THE GIRLS NAME.

Clicking anywhere in that little box with the girl will just select that girl in your current tab, thereby reordering your list.

I hope this helps

Just to reiterate for Firefox users:

uncheck the box labelled "disable or replace context menus" under the advanced button beside "enable javascript" in the content menu in the options.

Worked like a charm...
