In Asia, tipping for any type of service (taxis, hotels, eating, wgs, drinks, etc) is not really expected and is sometimes refused as the service provider would consider it an insult to his/her quality of service.

From reading the reports in this forum over the years, sometimes the amount of tipping given can be shocking. Not in the expected sense of so little but in some reports the punter gives a lot (over 40% value of the service) that I am surprised nobody advises the punter not to give so much as it can spoil the expectations of the wgs and ruin it for the following punter.

I chose $600 as the average value of wgs, $400-$800 range, to set the basis for the poll's question.

Since I have only visited inexpensive walkups that average about $400, my tipping was about $20. I know it is not that much, but I don't ask for photos at all. In saunas I give the obligatory $20 to the locker room boys and have given out $100 laisees to my favorite sauna girls during Chinese New Year. I guess if I visited HGs, I may give more than $20 as the girl is sharing the fee with her pimp.

I have tipped a minimum of $100HKD with each punt.  If I got STELLAR service and pics I would probably do $150 or more.

I have tipped abt $300+ on top of her price before if the wg is good.

My minimum tip is $200, but that wasn't a choice so I clicked on $100.

I thought that you guys were talking US$. But in any case i use the rule 10%. so $600, tip would be say 50.

100 for excellent service

that's a good % of what they get to keep from the basic

Dislike to priced 550 or 520, always forced to give 600 as look bad to get change for little money

I can't answer this question based on $600, because I don't now which currency you are referring to.

If in Thailand.  A 2000-3000 WG, I will tip her 100Baht possible 200 if she is good. and had a good personality and let me take pictures or video and didn't push me for more money.   I would just do it.
