#2 Post at 26-5-2024 05:26  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L The irony to this post is that in Thailand, possibly in other Asian countries/cultures, is that dark skin is generally considered less desirable that light or fair skin.  Quite the opposite of Western cultures (USA in my case) where tanning and darker skin is considered desirable and sought after (e.g. tanning salons).  The reason I've gotten from a past Thai GF is that darker skin is considered more rural, more blue collar, often indicating an outdoor work environment, farming, etc.  White skin is an indicator of more privileged life like office worker.
