Pattaya Hotel Recommendations

Hey all. Hope it's ok to post this.

I'm heading to Thailand in about a month for couple of weeks. Looking for recommendations for a clean comfy hotel where bringing back a girl won't be frowned upon. I was looking at the Ibis as it looked quite modern, just as a reference. So under US$50 a night would be good if that's not unreasonable.

Bonus points for places with a balcony and sea or city views. Not bang in the middle of the noise, I don't mind walking around a bit.

I've been to Thailand many times but not in over 20 years. And I've never been to Pattaya, spent most of my time on Koh Phangan in the past but I'm too old for that scene now, lol.

Last question: am I better just booking a couple of nights in advance and maybe upgrading at a better price once there? Or just booking the whole period in advance?

Thanks in advance!

Most hotels in pattaya are guest friendly, I would suggest booking for a double room and putting 2 guest on booking, for smoother stay

My recommendation is to email the Hotel, take the guest friendly offer in writing

Head to Booking.com and read the QnA section of the hotel, someone would have asked this question already and it would have been answered as well

Once you are certain, find the email address and get in writing before you make a booking

It's a hotel and their business is to have guest stay so there is no need to email them and check it's ok to stay there with a guest.

Last year I spent well over 100 nights in hotels, and do most years, and in most countries it won't be an issue. I book for 1 person or 2, depends how i click and don't really care because it makes no difference for me as long as I get the room and bed i want.

The only time this could be a minor issue for the op is if the room rate includes breakfast the hotel could ask for extra money if 2 people check in and 1 is booked (in that case the booking would usually have been cheaper anyway) or they could say only 1 person can go to breakfast unless you pay more.

In 2023 I had issues a checkin 2 times where they wanted more or refused 2 breakfasts but this was always a result of staff making a mistake and the manager fixed the issue.

Heaps of times I said to the hotel I've got a girl coming over for the night and they would just ask me to get her to ID to the desk if she wants breakfast. If it was late and I didn't ID to the desk it made no difference (but I think they are meant to ID for breakfast and were just being flexible).

99% of the hotels in Pattaya are guestfriendly.
I always booking all my stay in advance.
If you don’t want noise your best solution is Cozy Beach and Pratamnak Hill but you will to rent a motorbike or use bolt app so not a best area for a first timer.

Whitehouse condotel is in a central location (soi13) and quiet coz in the soi there are no bars.
Usually the customers at this hotel are old golf player, so probably you will not meet any drunk idiot who make noise during the night.

Please, don't be a Lame Dupe Over Payer (google it if you don't know) while you are in Pattaya (and every where in the world)
