Am planning a trip to Bangkok next year for scientific reasons and would like to ask for your tips and advice. I plan to take the trip maybe September 2024. Will be my first time in Thailand.

What's a good budget to prepare say for 5 days (in USD so its easy to do math)?

What are recommendations for some good action? I've been seeing people talk about fiwfans as well and honestly, I feel overwhelmed by the number of options. I still need to read up on the reports regarding spas/massage places and hotels. Any tips you would like to impart a new mongerer in Bangkok?

Lastly, what are things/signs I should avoid? Being unable to speak Thai, I'm definitely at a disadvantage vs WGs and locals.

5 days - depending on how often you wanna go and where you go.  If you plan to pop once a day and at a Gogo Bar I would say about $750USD as Gogo (3000-4000 baht for ST girl  + 1000-1500 BF + ~500 drinks) x 5 times.

If you go freelance it would be cheaper, usually they ask for 2500-3000 ST and 5000-6000 for LT (if that is the case prep for $500USD-$1000USD)

All really depends on you and how you want to spend/prep.

Fiwfans would be even cheaper but then you will need to go find them - if it is your first time in Bangkok maybe save yourself the trouble by ordering takeout but that's only what I would do.  Fiwfan is incall.

Signs to watch for - if you do choose freelance, watchout for ladyboy (unless if you dont mind that).  The Gogo Bar is usually girls unless if you go to a ladyboys bar.

I hope this helps as I was worried the first time myself but I think it is safe vs what I had in mind.  (The first time I went - I stuck to Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy)  I paid more than risk getting myself into trouble.  I feel the amount spent in Bangkok is still cheaper than the price at my home country (Canada).

pre-game/warm up at Bangkok and do the soapy places and Nana circuit.  Then head out to Pattaya. I prefer Pattaya for the best place to conduct "scientific methods of measuring fluctuations in serotonin and dopamine levels thru varied erotic activities". 2k would be my budget for 5 days.

Walking Street would be my number 1 spot in Pattaya, followed by Soi 8 and the massage alley before the tuktuk returns to main road.

As someone who was a newbie very recently and currently in Bangkok enjoying a lot I'll just give you my experience and numbers. If you only have 5 days I highly suggest you don't go too far and stay near Sukhumvit or have a metro access.

Massage parlors are the easiest and safest, you still have a huge choice when it comes to type of service and girl line ups. With some research you can find those who are more vanilla with younger girls, or more porn-type stuff allowed with usually older women.

My spendings are :
~25$ a day for a very basic but clean and quiet airbnb in a reasonable location
~20$ for food, usually some cheap street local food for lunch and some higher end westernized restaurant for dinner
~60$ a day for sex, I do one shot with one girl everyday, ranging from 20$ blowjobs to 100$ upper end experience with young girls
~10$ for transport and various stuff

I don't drink alcool, party, buy stuff or do tourist activities so my spending is certainly lower than most people. If you want to enjoy more paid activities and have a fancy hotel I'd count 250$ a day total easily.

I only had good experiences for now, went in Snow White, Mango, Wood bar and Analisa. Wood bar is a 20$ blowjob place but was still fun imo and the girl was skilled.

Really depends what you want.

Expensive:
If you want really hot girls then Maria/Black Caviar are good choices, but will probably run you at least 8000 baht.

Cheap:
If I lived in Bangkok I would spend time to go through Fiwfans. It's very hit or miss, but if you miss you're only down 1000-2000 baht.

Medium:
A good compromise would be some of those massages where you can get a whole lineup to pick from. I think those are around 3000 a shot?

Be aware that fiwfans is a local operation, meaning that providers may not be used to foreigners and may not speak much English. If you want a more polished experience let me recommend the shophouse massage places in the Phrom Pong area.

But for a more rounded experience, do both of course.
