Punting for foreigner in second tier city help

Hi, anyone have any tips for punting as a foreigner in a bigger Chinese city but not top tier like Shanghai or Beijing? My mandarin is conversational but not completely fluent, and reading writing is much weaker. I’ll be taking a business trip to wuhan this next week and wanted to know if any of the bros had any experience or tips punting in a similar level city. You can get by with English and broken mandarin for the most part in a big city like Shanghai but this will be my first time in a second tier city and don’t know where to start. Any sort of help would be appreciated , thanks
