There has been no activity in the Macau forum for a long time now. Is it because there is no action in Macau during the pandemic?

I think it's mainly the fact that you need to quarantine in Macau for 14 days. And for HK-based folk, you would need to quarantine for another 14 days upon your return.

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government today urged the public to ensure that they comply with Macau's new COVID-19 nucleic acid test requirement before travelling there.

According to the announcement made by Macau's Novel Coronavirus Response & Co-ordination Centre, starting August 7, all people entering Macau from Hong Kong will be required to present proof of a negative COVID-19 test result issued by one of the testing institutions recognised by the Hong Kong SAR Government.

The negative test result would be valid within 24 hours.

They are also required to undergo 14 days of compulsory quarantine after entering Macau.

The Hong Kong SAR Government explained that before departure to Macau, people must bring along valid proof of their negative COVID-19 nucleic acid test result as required.

It further warned that if people re-enter Hong Kong after being refused entry into Macau, they will be subjected to compulsory quarantine of 14 days according to the Compulsory Quarantine of Certain Persons Arriving at Hong Kong Regulation (Cap 599C).

I think some friend mentioned me, that border between Macau and HK is under Chinese territory. So if they could arrest some HK people if they wanted it there

Macau forum was dying before the pandemic. I think pandemic just accelerated the decline.

Macau offered a declining but still pretty good standard of service on average, but the prices were skyrocketing out of control in the years leading up to the pandemic. Nothing like chilling in a sauna though, getting massages and eating crappy instant noodles or sandwiches while waiting for lineups, those days were fun. I'm sure if quarantine is dropped, some people will gladly cross the border again.

The selection of girls in macau is limited too, many of the thai, viet, koreans went back to their home country. There maybe a few that choose to stay but with no working visa. Many of the prc wgs also moved back to zhuhai, it may take a while before macau can restore to its former glory

It is understandable that the Macau forum is not active because of the pandemic. Restrictions have apparently lead to a few of the popular spots to close. Before the pandemic I would visit East Spa at Waldo or Darling 1 in Masters regularly and Rio Hotel Spa too but occasionally cos of the high cost. I see that Rio and Darling are still open from the respective hotel websites but the Waldo Hotel website has taken down the East Spa page from the hotel website. That is a bummer because East used to have a unique show during which the girls would not only parade in the skimpiest of binikis before punters sitting in reclining sofas and they would do a lap dance sometimes after taking your dick out of your spa shorts and also giving you a bj and other titillating movements... all this in foggy dim lights to ear drum breaking music. I can imagine that because business is down these establishments had to send the girls back.
But i there is no way that things will not get back to normal once the vaccination rollouts brings things back to business almost as usual.
