I am out on Saturday night and was looking for a short night. Food poisoning was really bad that laid me up for a half my trip.  This was my last night in Bangkok on vacation.  I wanted to see Soi Cowboy because I am during the tourist thing and I wanted to see the place where movies, such the Hangover 2 and Deer Hunter, were shot.  I did some research on different websites about the location for recommendations and what to avoid, such as, do not go upstairs, do not go into unmarked doors, do not fall for any promotions on the street, and pay as you go so you don’t get that surprise bill at the end, etc.   

I get there at 10pm and it was very slow for a Saturday night.  Based on reviews, I expected to push through the crowds.  I was also surprised how short the street was, because in my mind I figured it would be over a half mile long.  Lots of girls and ladyboys on the street trying to coheres you into the bar to buy them drinks.  It was about 21 degrees Celsius but all the girls had a shirt on or at least a shoulder cover.  

I enjoy going Go Go Bars and other bars of this type, with or without a bar fine.  Yes, it is basically has the girls try to empty your wallet on drinks and figure out if they want to go back with you for extra money.  The girls are more expensive than the HK walkups.  I don’t mind this, even if I don’t like the girl enough to entertain an offer for extras.  I just enjoy playing around, dancing and drinking, and forget about the world for a few hours.  If she is fun then I am having fun, and I am not looking to date anybody, easy transaction no commitment.

I went to Baccara first.  It goes downstairs and is very cramp spot.  It is very dark, there was no room to move, so I had to be careful where to step.  The place was packed to the point there was only a handful of seats at the bar.  The bar to the stage was barely over 6 feet away.  They had the rotation of about 30 girls on stage at a time.  The uniform was orange bikini the well know number buttons on.  The customer base was Germans and Japanese based on the languages I was hearing.  After about 15 minutes of looking around and able to see 2 cycles of girls, nothing caught my eye.  There was a very mechanical feel to it.

Feeling rather exhausted I left to head to the Asoke BTS.  The girls do try hard to get you in, getting in front of you, calling you etc.  Slow night on the street.  I walk by Spice Girls, where the girls all wore girls were wearing white shirts to stay warm, black leggings and single tops.  I get grabbed by Helena and nudged for a drink into Spice Girls.  Everyone has a different opinion about being touched and I don’t want to do anything forceful to escape, especially with security looking right at us.  So, we go in and it is completely empty of customers, I was it. They had maybe 10 girls on stage and about 10 outside trying to lure customers.  The place was full of neon lights and all mirrors.  I like mirrors so if I am sitting in the right spot I can see everything as well as the managers in the room.  Helena goes on stage and does the who dancing teasing act and I buy her drinks for each of us.  She does her ten minutes on stage and we head into a corner and gets a lap dance and I decided to just dance together.  She was surprised I prefer more interactive than just be danced upon.

Helena was about 5 ft 2 ins or so, definitely late 20s, her dark skin was very smooth, minimal curves and B cup breasts and small butt.  She very much enjoyed tequila.  She was fairly talkative but the place was so loud and English being fair at best, it was hard to engage in a long conversation.  Also, this girl is not a pushover.  A couple of times one of the other girls tried to take her shirt and she made sure she got an earful to leave her things alone.  She knows how to take care of herself.  The managers were clearly keeping an eye on things.  At this place, girls are expected to guys by drinks every 20 or so minutes, which in her case was about 550 baht per drink.  The food poisoning recovery plus a varies medicines meant just one beer.  

After and hour of grinding, grabbing and tit flashing, we were fairly comfortable with each other. We were both having a good time, but sadly, I literally ran out of energy at 11:30 or so and tipped her a 200 baht and left.  

Would I go back?  It would depend on my mood.  I prefer more a party bar environment than girls just dancing on stage.
