WGs might avoid coming to HK but while there is a decrease I wouldn't say the supply has dropped by more than 30%. Personal opinion - protest is dying. Many rooms without welcome signs or even names and stickers on them. So yes its gone down a LOT. What has happened though is there are a fair few more streetwalkers. I consider this to be pretty full given that this place averages 24-28 WGs on an average day last year. All are from Mainland China. I tend to think the supply is quite healthy and my WGs told me they need cash before CNY, but I'll check out other walk-up buildings. Running up to Xis visit and Macaus anniversary, customs was very strict and security right. Wouldn't be surprised if that didn't scare some off for a while. My understanding is that visas for Indonesian and Filipino's also harder to get now too (but that was from a survey sample of one)
