Bohica, yes the folder is password protected and, regardless if your SO is familiar with Android you can hide the folder totally and/or rename it.  I call it a “system” folder so make it innocuous and there is plausible deniability by simply saying you don’t know what the folder is - “must be a Samsung thing” if it comes up.  I gave my phone to a punter brother who uses Android and he didn’t even find the folder let alone try to open it.

Inside the folder you can have a totally separate series of apps as well as files like pictures and video that you sync with a different gmail (or other provider) account.  It’s like your own private treasure trove.

Risks are:
1. Calls and messages - you can use but they are logged like usual so you need to delete.
2. Notifications - make sure you turn them off.
