First of all, I’d like to thank all those who posted before me as I’d never have known anything about Macau saunas until I stumbled across the forum. The wealth of information provided by all contributors helped me chose the right spa for me and smoothed out a lot of the awkward conversations a first timer would likely have. I’m hoping that my post will give back to the forum.
I chose the One as I was comfortable paying a bit more for a premium in terms of spa layout (no guys facing each other) and the quality of the girls. The Shuntak ferry terminal had helpful staff and they provided me the 2300 HKD voucher which included ferry tickets, two treatments and one standard girl (note they did not accept credit cards so make sure you have cash). Also, they advertise the Spa as No. 1 Spa.
The ride to Macau was uneventful, but at the terminal, I couldn’t find the shuttle bus for the Landmark hotel despite several people telling me it was around. I gave up and took the bus to the Rio and walked the short distance to the Landmark. I made sure to enter at the front and went up the flight of stairs to the right and then found the escalator up one more flight to the entrance of the sauna. I found out later that a lot of girls start around 4pm-5pm so I showed up at a good time. Also, I was told that it was quiet for a Saturday for some reason (they noted it was school holidays so dads were likely unable to show up for any fun?).
As others have mentioned, it’s a bit weird to have guys look at you undress at the lockers but I got over it as there was no other customer around and they tended to turn away. I didn’t realize that the small plastic pouch is for your phone to take in so I put my glasses and wallet in there too. I only realized the mistake when he handed it to me and I asked him to just leave it all in the locker (which stunk a bit at the end but that’s another story…). I used the hot water baths (as I was the only one) and it felt like a very relaxing start. I chose an empty row which was easy as there were only about 5 other customers on the floor. I’m ethnically Chinese and speak some Mandarin but even the euphemisms they used stumped me so I can appreciate how difficult it can be for those whom only speak English. The phrase for ejaculation had something to do with a helicopter taking off?
I had some cola to try and wake up as jet lag meant I didn’t sleep well the night before. She noted that FS from one of the thigh massage girls would cost 6000. She said management decided that if customers wanted to throw money away, they’d take it as it is quite standard other spas in the area. It is priced this high simply to encourage customers to look at the girls in the back. She noted that it’s all about balancing the business so that all the working women could make a living based on what they were comfortable doing. She seemed turned off when I told her that 6000 was very expensive (I think she’s used to sleeping with real ballers who see 2000 and 6000 as pretty much the same amount). She noted that due to the recent corruption crackdown on the mainland, a lot of customers had stopped coming as they were fearful of being called out on big spends that would lead to investigations. We had good conversation and “accidentally” ran into the second session. I figured I’d cut her the slack and 285 was no big deal in the grand scheme of things. The thigh massage is nice but just isn’t my cup of tea… Feels like the fast track to begin blue balled. Might as well stay in a strip club in that case.

Only wish I could have had the ability to take her back to HK but obviously, that wasn’t likely. Would have been willing to book a hotel room in Macau for the night if she’d been able to leave.
A couple of other things for beginners like me:
1.) Don’t be afraid to turn down services on the floor. Just be firm and polite.
2.) Thigh massages are a waste of time and money, just move on to the main event (unless you have credit from the voucher).
3.) Realize that if you’re nice to the girls and actually focus on what they’d enjoy, you’re both likely to have a better time. Both girls noted to me that a lot of clients just want to shoot their load as quick as possible and don’t care if the girl enjoys it or not.
4.) The food is simple but free and will keep you going. Stick with the snacks or other smaller portions. Get some caffeine into the system, you’ll be less bloated and feel more up for it.
5.) When the line up happens, it’s every man for himself. Make sure you know what you want (i.e. country the girl is from) and then pull the trigger on the one you fancy most. Whether she smiles at you or not is not always an indication of the quality of the experience.
The last thing that the sauna made me realize is that prostitution in a controlled environment like in Macau is the way to go. It’s safe for both sides and women not willing to give it all can also do less well paying jobs such as the massage route. I think the thigh masseuses had the best position as they can decide if they want to go FS if a baller shows up and is interested.
