I was in HK earlier this year in March with a few days free I spent in Wan Chai. Reading through some other reports, pretty sure I fucked up hard. I was going to put up a thread asking questions and guidance from the veterans but thought it'd be better to spin it into a report.

My first time going out in Wan Chai to the seedier side. Checked out a few of the bars briefly. HK cafe, walked in, few guys but lots of girls. All looked above 30 and very average in appearance. Then went to New Makati I think? Lockhart road and up a flight of stairs that make a U-turn. Dead empty except for 5-10 girls and a few guys, mainly Indians staring at the girls. Some girl approached me, not the best but best I've seen so far tonight. Got fleeced out of around 800 in drinks because she ordered normally then ordered a round of shots which ended up being a tray for like 500. Shortly after she vanished never to be seen again.

Bad experience so far and down around 1k in an hour. Head over to Amazonia, worse lineup than HK cafe and promptly leave. Spot some pretty Russians maybe? Follow them and end up at some place called Escape. This is a better lineup, but still most girls are terrible. A few are good so I grab a drink and walk around a bit. Start talking to some Colombian. She asks for a drink, I agree and then 2 drinks arrive for her? Wtf. Some cranberry mixed drink and a shot of tequila for around 160. Try not to make the same mistake as Makati and be fleeced for drinks. Mention I said 1 but she ordered 2 but don't push it and just pay like a chump. She asks where I'm staying then quotes 3k ST. Won't budge at all. Hot body but face looks like it's been smashed against a wall up close.

Notice more white girls around her. All seem unapproachable and not interested in chatting to me.

Talk to a Thai girl, asks for a drink and out comes 2 drinks again... Pay assuming that's the system here. ST quote 2k. Better than 3k, but 2k for an ok 30 year old thai girl? That's like 8k baht... That money gets 20 year old spinners, not 30 year old milfs.

Few drinks later and decide I've already sunk too much money in drinks tonight I may as well sink a bit more and actually go with someone.

Find a petite girl with amazing legs. Does the 2 drink shit again... Ask ST, get a 2k quote. Try to get it down but not happening. Say fuck it and go with her for 2k. I wanted to finish my beer but she was super pushy with, "we go now, are you ready, let's go" etc. Chill woman...

Sex was sex, nothing out of the ordinary. She wanted to stay the night, but I said I had to be up early for work and got her to leave.

Total damage for the night. 2.5k in drinks and 2k ST... I was milked dry. You'd think I learned my lesson from this night but it got worse...

Just went straight for Escape tonight since the other places I went to the previous night were average at best. Had a few drinks with a colleague in LKF earlier in the night so it was late and I was pretty drunk by the time I got to Escape.

I arrived around 2 am. Place had maybe 30 girls still and hardly any guys. I think this is good, not many customers and lots of options I'll be able to get a good price. WRONG. Anyone with negotiating skills might be able to, but not me. I think I ended up paying a premium instead.

Spoke to 2 different Filipino girls, got the standard 2 drinks each and spoke for a bit. Both were decent girls but both wanted 5k each ST, won't negotiate at all. One even had lots of rules like, "no kissing, cbj only, lights off". The fuck?

Walked around and looked for around 30 mins since I didn't want to talk to too many girls unless I was sure I'd go with them because last night it was costing 160 just for a few mins talk and I've already got drinks for 2 girls. Adds up quick if you want to talk to a few girls for chemistry. See this spinner Thai girl, perfect legs and really confident. Get a few drinks with her. Same shit again, 2 drinks per order and those orders came around pretty quick I felt. After the first round all the 'friends' arrived. "This my friend, this my sister, you have to get drink for her too (((( she help me so I owe her". Try to say no but as you might have noticed I've got no negotiating skills. Get a few rounds for my girl + her 2 friends. 480 a round  gets expensive quick... 2k spent on drinks before I know it.

It's getting late now around 5 am and I'm the only guy left in the bar. Ask ST price, get 3k quote. Try to negotiate and this time try my best and don't give in. We negotiated for around 20 mins and the price didn't change from 3k. Say fuck it, not many girls left now, already spent heaps on drinks and it's less than 5k. So I guess the price isn't too bad?

In the taxi with her and this is where I realise my mistake. This girls face is fucked. Like too much botched plastic surgery or something. Chemistry died down a bit now because I'm not feeling it and definitely not at 3k. But I'm a man of my word who has agreed to pay this girl 3k and I'm in the taxi with her. I'd like to cancel but feel like I can't because I've agreed and we're almost at my hotel now.

Sex was her constantly complaining it hurts, I don't do this position, I don't do that position. I cum 10 times, are you finished yet? What about now? You done? Almost finished? Why you not finished? Shut the fuck up woman...

Alright so I know now reading reports on here and my own suspicions I've fucked up in pretty much every way. I'm headed to HK again soon and would like to go to Wan Chai but without spending so much for my own wallets sake and so I don't drive prices up for you guys. I went to the bars instead of the curtain bars because I heard they're a scam and you spent lots. I guess I got milked anyway...

The prices girls were expecting are pretty crazy compared to what is available cheaper and better quality a short flight away.

For the veterans;
1. What prices are normal in Wan Chai and in particular Escape (or if there's a similar bar quality wise to Escape?)? I see reports here saying 1.5k but no girl I spoke to would even negotiate from 2k at the minimum.
2. Is the 2 drink thing normal in Escape?
3. What does ST get you? Once you pop is her leaving normal?
4. What are the curtain bars like? Scammy? Worth it? How are prices? Any to recommend/avoid?

Just as an FYI - I went to one of the curtain bars on a lark one afternoon and managed to get the two girls in there (no guys at the time) to go down on each other and let me COF while one ate the other out. They were...not lookers. Older, sort of beat up. Rational or not, I felt like the risks of actually touching them was higher than normal, so I just asked if they could les it up a bit and let me ruin their makeup. They had no problems with that.

If you don't like a girl, just make an excuse, pay a tip and send her on her way.

These girls can identify inexperienced punters from a mile away and squeeze them. Always stay away from friends and sisters unless you take a fancy on one of them or are looking for a 3some.

Can't talk about the curtain bars since that's not my scene.

min 2k is the vibe I got in escape and feedback in this thread. Strange all the reports on escape say 1.5k, bit fishy. How much cheaper is Neptune 3 / Sparks? Do they start around 11 like escape did?

Over the years I've been in a couple of the curtain bars and only had a pint. I remember once cause we were a group of guys (and I paid something like 50 Hk for the drink and avoided buying any girl drinks at 200) and another time was because the doorman recognised me (again, paid normal price). I've also been chased away by mamasans just for peeking in the curtains, so you need to be calm (and preferably) sober before diving into any decisions. Drunk in Escape and you're out a few thousand. Drunk in a curtain bar can get you in trouble. A friend of mine in Tokyo flexed his credit card at a strip club there and just got lap dances. He was pissed as a fart, fell for a girl and ordered dances all nice. Work up the next day with something like 1,000 dollar Visa bill (paid).  

I've taken girls from N3, 109 and from the street for as low as 1k ST (1 hour 1 pop).

Have taken girls (Indo and Pinay) from HKC and Boracay that asked for nothing and then hung out with me for the week. Bought food and took shopping although they never asked for anything. A few brought up marriage and wanted me to take them back to US.

I have pulled from each and every bar you mentioned and most frequently I would say Makati, then Amazonia, Neptune 3, and HK Cafe. One point you make is about the quality of the girls you were seeing. While there are many less than perfect girls in WC, I am always happily satisfied. Many of the bros on here that have seen the girls I pick up can attest I don't do low end in my punting selection. It is all about getting a connection and then moving on to the costs and details of the punt in my opinion.

You can go into a curtain bar and not have any drinks, look at the girls, and leave if you want. They would obviously prefer you come in, spend a ton of money, and take a girl, but I have only once encountered a unpleasant mamasan when walking in to check out the talent and then leaving without drinking or taking a girl with me. Most of the time they are INCREDIBLY nice. Treat them like you would like to be treated (with respect and kindness) and you will get the same in return 99.9% of the time.

My typical strategy for a night in WC is to hit the bars (HK Cafe, Escape, etc.) and if I don't find anything that I like I'll take a swing through a few of the curtain bars.

That's good to hear. I've seen them for years but always avoided since I heard people entering and leaving with a 5-8k bill. I always just assumed it was a bit of a clip joint. But after seeing the quality of Escape which is supposed to be the best bar, I wasn't really impressed with the talent. So time to give other things a try.

Usually there is a Chinese owner or manager on the premises and the mamas will be bouncing back and forth between them and you trying to negotiate an offer the ownership can also live with. When you so "no" to one of their offerings allow time for the mama to go back to owner/manager and come back with their next offering. If the place is semi-busy it can take time for this communication to play out. If the place is dead this can happen quickly and on a slow night the owner/manager will be more willing to go with a lower price.  Price softness is related to that evenings supply and anticipated demand.
