#1 Post at 8-11-2017 16:48  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Shenzhen sauna's asking for Identity Documents Hey Everyone, I haven't been mongering for years, but had the urge and opportunity recently to visit some establishments in Shenzhen, I've noticed that some sauna's wont service you without scanning your identity document.  This is really a strange requirement from my point of view, its not like you're leaving the country as you enter their sauna.  Freaked me out a little bit.  Anybody know why they've started this policy? Yes, I have been asked for my passport to be scanned if I am staying over night. At one place they asked if I am staying over night at about 11:00 pm. I had to go to my locker to get my passport. About 4 to 6 yrs ago this was not always the case.

#6 Post at 9-11-2017 17:23  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Hi, this as down for many spas in Shenzhen and Guangzhou, if stain over night , if you sleep at night in spa it's  consider as hotel , and all hotels do same , just maybe your not notes that. foreigners in china must report where they stay over night , so hotels and spas do it for you , it's the regulation in china. all spas will not ask to do it during day time , only if you come after 19:30 and stay sleep over night. i can tell you some spas stop to ask me, as i go to them many times in the pass 5 years even at night, but some still asking no meter what . Last time I went though was close to midnight and they wanted to scan my passport which I thought was a bit sketchy but I wanted my bj so I handed it over against my better judgment. Then I went again a few days ago and they didn't ask me. I think the guy there is starting to recognize me now lol.
