If you reply to a post you’ll get +1 karma.

However, only reply with proper replies. Simple one liners, observations, questions should be written as a rating. Hence you’ll see senior members write a rating to one line replies informing the author to use the ratings, and give them -1 karma to balance the scales.

So many newbies don’t read the guidelines. As stated above all the information is literally there in bright red. Take 10 mins to acquaint yourself. Don’t be lazy, be a positive member to this society

You’re not going to go up the ranks using replies. You need to be an active member of the forum, write decent reports, exciting to read, informative and attached photos. This will all aid to give you lots of  karma points. As you move up the ranks you’ll be awarded greater viewing privileges (read access levels depend on the photo - all info in the newbies please read section).

A cardinal sin is to ask for karma in your report - so don’t do it!

Yup. I've been a member for over 1 year, but only started posting in the last 2 months and I already jumped up 2 levels. Yikes, I gotta cut down on my weekly punts, it's digging a hole in my pockets.

In my other hobbies the rise of FB groups have slowly killed off the use of Internet forums

However with the sensitive nature of what we talk about here, The need for anonymity will always ensure this stays on forums.

To get the reading access, I have to go google and come back here for the solution, I am not sure whether I am lazy or crazy, but found the solution, thanks to everyone who lead me here.
