I'm pretty new to the scene here - but have navigated my way pretty well thanks to all the helpful info and posts from the bros out here. Once I get my "sea legs" I'll share my own intel too.

My question is about agents - I've gone to a few walk-ups and tried a few HGs so far. Walk-ups I get.  For HGs - I see that there are some pretty reliable agents out there (I've successfully used "Q" twice, and then a few random no-name ones a few times where the ad isn't really reflective of the girl). Then the other day I tried to book an NY girl. I texted (in chinese) and immediately received a response saying something along the lines of: "If I have a previous number that I used or number of a friend please pass that along". I assume this is like a referral system? Which makes sense to me, but then how does someone like me (who has no referrals) get started...? I tried calling / we-chatting the NY agent subsequently (I searched on the forum and found that was what some suggested) but no luck.  I've also tried a few other agents in the past too (e.g., D) where I just didn't get a response at all - presuming again that I am not calling from a "known" number.  Am I just out of luck here?  Any thoughts appreciated!

I've been having similar difficulties. Recently I contacted an agent in NY. He responded in Chinese. Ittranslated what he said then I responded in English. Upon my response he blocked me.

One way to get in is to call NY's $1500 girls. Usually they are complete rip-offs. So they will let you in without referral. After you bite this $1500 bullet, then you become one of their old clients.
