Walk-In/HG and security in Hotel

Hi everyone,

Going to visit HK soon, and was planning on trying some hotel walk-ins.  What sort of hotels do the agents usually use and are there elevator access cards needed?  I am a little anxious about the hotel staff/concierge questioning me as I enter the lobby, and would rather avoid any staff interaction altogether.

Thanks for any help!

Normally you can just directly access the floors via the elevator. No one will question you. Certainly any hotel I've been to in TST has been like this.
