Travelling from Hong Kong via Shenzhen to mainland question

Hi guys just a quick question.

If I take a train from Shenzhen to dongguan or ZMT, will there be any immigration checkpoints? I'd like to go from hk to dongguan, and just simply get a same day visa at the Lowu border and then get into Shenzhen to take a bus or train to another city. I have done this for Huizhou bu getting a Shenzhen visa at lowu and then taking a bus from the station to huizhou.

This saves me having to apply and wait for a Chinese visa in Hong Kong. Btw I know this is not legal from a Chinese immigration point of view, as I would need a Chinese visa to travel beyond Shenzhen.

Thanks!

Taking the train from Luohu to DG requires one to give the counter your passport for identity purposes.. It's not an immigration checkpoint though so I'm unsure as to whether they check Visa - most likely not.

If that fails you can walk to the bus stop and just take a bus to CP since they don't check passport there.

If you do take the bus, the price was less than 40 rmb the last time I took it 1 year ago. It's slower than the train. The last stop at the New Century Hotel in CP but most people get off at Starbucks.  See pictures for location at Luo Wu, located at 45.    A person will come around to take videos of everyone in case there is an issue later.  For visas, they never checked passport visas on those buses.  You pay inside on those short distance buses.
