Back in town (HKG) shortly after a year's absence (punted 3 times but wish I had more time).
Still trying to get used to a slightly different scene and website with the changes, but it's all good.
Hope someone can help with answering these as I'll be boarding a plane for HKG in a couple days...
1) I had what appeared to be a B&S situation with a CWB/WC HG last year but went through with it anyway since I was already there. Basically a model picture but got a younger MILF instead. Are the TST HGs generally of better looks and quality overall (where the pic closer matches to the real person)? I know photoshopping/makeup is rampant. I see HG listings for HK Island but given my experience last year, worried about B&S again. Or this is all at random or more rampant? Any consensus as to which agents in town (aside from as well as including TST) offers quality in looks and performance? I speak fluent Canto, a little Mandarin.
2) Since the recent bust (I too read about it overseas on the net...le sigh) is it still pretty safe overall for punting (HGs in particular)?
3) If I'm asked to pay up front with one of these HGs (e.g. TST) Has anyone successfully negotiated to pay afterwards?
4) I'll be staying on HK Island. If a punt goes past midnight, how easy is it to get a cab that goes to HK Island?
5) What is a typical $ range for HG overnight, assuming it's in TST or CWB? I assume it factors in the cost of the room. So you're essentially locking down the appointment from the time you finish till the next morning (and I assume that's before checkout time)?
6) Totally unrelated question, but I am running an unlocked Samsung Focus Windows 7 phone, and will have a Windows 8 phone (locked) that I use for photos, plus an iPAD and a Surface RT. What is the best plan locally available so that I can use some sort of paid WiFi during my trip that can be used across devices? The only servce I've found is PCCW which has hotspots in many places.....a bro's gotta use online maps to find his way around :-D.

Answers below are just my opinion.
1) I believe that the proportion of better looking or overall quality is about the same in TST and CWB/WC. BUT there are ALOT more girls located on the TST side, so although the proportion may be the same, the numbers are also higher in TST. Like you said, DB PS is rampant, and also many girls actually don't like to wear such heavy makeup and only do so for the photoshoot in which case sometimes it becomes like double PS... (sometimes a bit of luck needed in this aspect). As for B&S, just use some of the better agents instead of going random... S1, SUG, TH, NBA, BC, GS, SIX, FS, CK... although it apparently still does happen sometimes (I suspect if you're speaking English... but you speak Cantonese so it should be ok)

2) Anyone saying its safe or not is probably only guessing. I can only say that I haven't stopped.

3) Rare to be required to pay up front, but I've heard it does happen from time to time. Even if you successfully negotiate to pay after, I'm not sure it will benefit you, and may even make service worse...

4) Late night taxi's, no problem

5) Overnight is 3 times the normal price i.e. if 900 for one session, then overnight is 2700. Usually from midnight to 9am.

6) Not an expert with 6.

6) you should be able to buy one HK SIM card with WiFi and then make a local hotspot.  One of the phones should be able to do it.  Then you can use all your devices.  You can also make your maps when you have WiFi and then screencapture them.

A few other questions

-lately there has been a huge scare with counterfeit $1k bills, and news reports are saying many came from the banks themselves. Have any bros been turned down when paying with a big bill? Most restaurants even the nice ones are refusing them.

- Thinking of punting in Wanchai. How are the HGs by WC?

I got the answer from PCCW, their WiFi solution is not so good for my situation. Guess I have to unlock my good phone first. iPAD is basically useless here unless I have a password or go to a library (but government WiFi bans the forum from loading but I think I got a bookmark of the DB to briefly load?)
