Can someone explain to me those saunas/massages/strip clubs in Mong Kok? I happened to be in a building in Mong Kok and as the elevator was going up, it stopped on a floor of what appeared to be a strip club. I'm absolutely clueless about this in Hong Kong. In Canadian/American strip clubs we can sit and relax with our drink without being forced to spend unless we choose to. How do these places work in Mong Kok? Generally I see signs with pictures of sexy ladies and the address or floor in the building. Can I sit there with a drink and not be disturbed? Are there actually naked ladies dancing? Will I get harrassed to spend more money? How much do guys spend at these places?

They are mostly there to take your money, you will not have a good time there unless you are accompanied for a "local" person. That's just my opinion, but if you want take out girls, that's the place for you.

On the other hand, some of the walk ups with pink and green massage signs outside can be loads of fun and good value. One can read about various addresses via search of HK section.
