33-35 Carnarvon Road Jame S. Lee Mansion

Can anyone out there help with directions as to how to find this building.

I walked up and down Carnarvon Road yesterday trying to find this building but it seems it doesn't exist. I even asked a policeman for directions and even he wasn't sure.

The street phots are not much help either.

I'm sure this place does exist but would appreciate some help with directions.

Thanks.

All the info by hulk2211 and lazytjai are correct and useful.

Carnavon Rd. per se is not a very useful cue.

In fact last week I already noticed there's some work going on at the entrance. The main entrance is where all the scaffolding is. I presume entry into this building is as usual.

Here you go.

Yes, the entrance is actually around the corner from Carnarvon Road and quite difficult to find the first time. The construction awning in that very helpful photo from pickyprick may be temporary but it serves to mark the spot. The construction itself makes the entrance much narrower than usual, but it's easy enough to duck inside. Lots of traffic in that building, because there are several cheap guesthouses on various floors.

I think most of the work has been done, probably the lobby is now marble lined.

For those who have never been there, but may dine there at a later date, this is what it looks like. It should be easy to find.
