Dumb question about a watch

Hey, so here's a question for you all.  This is my first trip to Hong Kong (leaving Saturday, can't wait!), and I was wondering, is it safe to wear a nice watch over there?  I assume it's safe in public and such, but what about if I decide to go mongering in either Macau or Hong Kong?  Do people here leave their nice stuff at home when they go out, just in case they get the itch to go hunting?  Just curious as I'm sure more people here are familiar with the safety issue than I am regarding this.  Thanks!

Hong Kong is a safe place where ever you go.
Make sure you don't take it off as you might forget it.

Losing a nice watch is an excuse to get an even better one.

Hong Kong is safer - much safer then ANY city in the US !!!   you can go mongering anywhere
here and you'll be ok !

moebee's right, you have more chance of loosing things due to you're own neglect than people steeling your property.

just for your info ... any WG (although not hotel girls) could be wearing a real Rolex here !

Have a good trip and have fun here ... don't worry about safety or STD (you'd know better then anyone about safe sex)
and remember to make your reports

I feel safer in Hong Kong than any other place I've ever been.    Hongkongers seem to have a thing
about good watches and it's not at all unusual to see just about anybody wearing a genuine Rolex including,
as twiceAweek says,  the local WGs.

Fake watch, sir? Real fake Rolex.

And now for real content: When I went to see Qingdao Mama last week or so, it was my first time to go to a WG's room in Hong Kong so I was a little wary. I mean, this isn't Thailand, but I fully expected her to root through my pockets while I was in the shower afterwards or when I had my back turned.

She didn't, though, of course, being the sweet darling that she is.

She might take your watch if you not have cash
