Been on this forum for a few years now, and haven't seen any reports from the Shek Kip Mei..
also visited other sites, but haven't found any reports...
The DB also doesn't have any workers listed in that area..
but I do know there are a few walk-ups there, as I saw them for myself..

Last time I went to SKM was in 2011, but I'm sure it has changed since then.
All I remembered was that it was quite dirty, and a little eerie..
I still believe it's the dirtiest place I ever went to in HK.
When I was there, it was dead..not many people, very old-fashioned buidling blocks,
and almost falling apart. I vividly remember seeing a lot of those wet markets.. so much rubbish on the ground..

Years ago.. when I was still at university in the UK, I remember reading up on a murder that happened
in Shek Kip Mei..
not sure if you guys heard about it.. a 16 year old girl, who met some crazy local HK guy through compensated dating, was
murdered, dismembered, and her organs flushed down the toilet.. in the end, police found a part of her ear, and tissue
in the sewage pipes, but the rest were never recovered... quite sad really..

I was kind of curious where this place was.. found the exact address / photos for ref. and went there..
the door to the building was locked as I suspected, as the news reported it was 'private' complex.
There were lots of people outside eating food; just a few doors down, a restaurant was
situated, with tables lined up down the street.
From what I read online, the room where she was murdered was 'knocked down' and 'cemented'.
Just opposite the building where the murder happened, is a walk-up.. with only a few rooms..

Rewind back to 2009, when I first started punting in Tai Po..a series of murders happened there in 2008;
2 PRC WGs in Tai Po.. from all the articles that I read up on the case,
none had the address.. but I ended up finding the place anyway from snooping around..
the door has been knocked down, and completely cemented off with bricks.. in 2009,
the floor above were still operating a few rooms, but now the apartments have been sold, and the walk-ups relocated nearby.

sorry to get off topic.. just wanted to share that.

I was just wondering if the murder that happened in SKM has anything to do with 141 not promoting the sex trade there?

...so have you guys went to Shek Kip Mei for punting before, or is it one of those places you just avoid completely?
