STD/STI around dom

ok, sorry for a repeat topic, but everything i found already on the forum was closed. im not asking for advice, just fellow punters' experiences.

every time im inside a WG and things start to get pretty close to   i throw caution to the wind and go balls deep in her. i just plow her as rough and deep as i can. the thing that worries me every time i hop off though, is that when she is pulling off the dom, i see that the base of my dick is drenched in LG juice and/or KY. i have a SO and every time after i nail a WG i try to avoid her for as long as possible(usually a few days), before i give in to either her advances or my own drive.

has anyone ever gotten anything in this manner? i know that with herpes it is just skin to skin contact. also, any swapping of bodily fluids has a chance of contracting something. i know i have a rubber on, but im still wondering about the possibility of actually getting herpes around the dom. i know you guys arent doctors(or maybe some of you are ), but id like to know your feelings on the matter. anyone feel nervous about this also? anyone ever gotten anything this way?

Yes, there is absolutely a risk of contracting any one of a number of STI's like this.  The odds fall dramtically with a dom on, but they do not fall to zero.  If that pussy juice around the base of your dick is infected with herpes than you are in direct skin-to-skin contact with infected bodily fluids.  Very possible to contract it yourself.

BBBJ, kissing, DATY, fingering...., all great ways to spread many different infections and viruses.

The literature says it is indeed possible to get Herpes the way you are having sex. However, there are a few things to be aware of.

First, you might want to test yourself to make sure you don't already have HSV2, which is the one people usually refer to as "genital herpes". It is possible you have it already and are, like many people, asymptomatic, or so lightly symptomatic that you don't recognize the symptoms. It is also possible that you have it in a different part of your body than your genitals (anus and mouth are the other two usual areas). I'm not sure about anus, but if you have it orally, you are almost guaranteed to be asymptomatic. But regardless of where you have it, if you already have it, you cannot get it again, although you can of course pass it on!

Note that HSV2 is what we're talking about here. HSV1 is carried by something like 50+% of the population, and affects a small number of them as "cold sores" on the lips. Most people with it are totally asymptomatic. Apparently, most people get it by something like "being kissed by an auntie as a child", not sexually.

Bottom line: HSV2 is an unavoidable risk of engaging in oral, vaginal, or anal sex. It is not a risk when engaging in hand jobs. It is not preventable using condoms, gels, washing, or anything else.

And if you are one of the people who has it and who has frequent outbreaks, it is a bloody nuisance, but very controllable using antiviral medication.

For me, I choose to accept the risk. I've been punting for about 6 years, quite frequently, with BBBJ, DATY, and covered FS. I have not contracted HSV2, but that doesn't mean you won't.

With a SO I'd be more concerned about things like Gonorrhea, and the other bacterial STDs. Although they are all completely treatable much as one would treat a strep throat, explaining it to the SO when you pass it on to her might be tough! Some, including myself, prophylactically treat ourselves with azithromycin when doing a lot of punting close to home. An ounce of prevention, etc. etc. etc. But not everyone agrees that this is a good idea. You must decide for yourself despite there being insufficient evidence to fully support your decision. But for HSV2, there's no magic bullet.

Beat me to the punch Hunt

You can pretty much assume you have HPV

There are hundreds of different forms of HPV ... most of them have no symptoms ... a few of the strains cause warts on men ... but some strains - four in particular - are potentially life-theatening for women in the long run.

It's so easy to catch you probably had some strains before you started mongering
but mongering increases your exposure considerably

ok, so what about the other ones? gonorrhea, syphilis, etc? can i get those at the base of my dick? i was always under the impression those are contracted by unprotected sex via the urethra. i thought crabs and herpes were just about the only ones you really had to worry about even if you do wear a rubber. so much for that "sex education class" they made us take back in middle school, huh?

No, you can't get the bacterial ones around the dom. The reason is almost ridiculously simple: While HSV2 particles are small enough to push their way through the thin skin on your (dick, anus, lips), bacteria are too large to do that. Bacterial "particles" (cells) can, however, pass through mucous membranes such as those in your urethra, rectum, and inside your mouth/throat.

So: No bacterial infections around the dom unless you have a cut/sore. And it seems that HIV, even though it is a virus and therefore very small, dies very quickly if not in just the right environment, so it doesn't survive outside the body either. But you CAN get the bacterial infections you mention from DATY, or even deep french kissing.

I'm putting a stop to this thread, again, the discussions are leading up to medical issues that should only be answered by specialists ... if you're in HK please seak free advise from the Family Planning department, they have a unit that gives information on STD related issues
