Dear all,
During my trip to Macau Venetian Casino last year (with HK and Macau friends), 2 youngters (around my age) came to us and followed us for nearly 30-45 minutes .. telling us to go to their casino even if we're not gambling .. saying things like better food, girls , commission etc ..
Had a hard time shoo-ing them off .. What's fellow bros' advise?
Planning to return back to Macau for a day trip (and gamble) but am pretty skeptical about this .. I'm only 19 yo :/
There are 4 kinds of people that will stalk you in Macau casinos.
1)
Junket agents
They are groups of well-dressed young men, they will ask you to go to VIP rooms or other casino to gamble.
They promise higher rolling chip turnover, and lots of freebies like hotel rooms, cigarettes, wine , etc.
They usually target high rollers.
Just ignore them, or say "I have no money".
2)
Pimps
Not as common as in the past, but still have a few of these pimps lurking around.
They will stalk high rollers, and when the gamblers win money and seems to be leaving, the pimps will approach and offer WGs e.g virgins, air-stewardess, models, etc.
but they are just regular WGs at exhorbitant prices.
They will target any men.
Just ignore them, and they will back off.
3)
Money changers
They carry pouches around their waists and are ready to exchange high amount of HKD / RMB.
They usually target Asians.
Ignore them.
4)
Cons
They target gamblers who are losing.
They will stand behind you and give advice on how to win at gambling.
If you heed their advice and really win, they will take the 2nd step.
Ask you for money and help you gamble, then they will take 10% of your winnings.
Usually they will only target mainlanders.
