Granted, that is after all their job to remove illegal immigrants and their duties to do so. However, don't think you're the only ones that know the inner dealings of the trade. It's not as if the police don't know who the agents are. And it's not as if the police don't know who the big agents are. Also, it's not as if the police don't know this agent brings in illegal immigrants. It's also not as if the agent doesn't know the police knows he's bringing in illegal immigrants. But somehow someone must've crossed the line. Usually we have to assume it's the agent but it really can go both ways. Definitely not the end of the world though. Another agent will rise and the quality will improve as always. The police will continue to moderate and monitor the trade. As always.

And I've been around.   Corruption happens everywhere, but much less in HK than the rest of Asia. Anyway, I do dislike the stories I've heard from a few gals that had nasty run-ins with LE.  Includingsexual favours to avoid being arrested.  This happens EVERYWHERE, mind you, and seems to be anexception in HK.  It is a faiirly clean force relative to other places I've been.

Agree that some of the posts are far fetched a bit ignorant. But at the same time there's a point to some of them. I really don't have much faith in our police force though. Personal experience.
