Gents, I'm looking for a place to store pics, vids, etc; would also be good to have a linked email address to allow for some private correspondence. My objective in all of this is to avoid content to be stored on my computer, one it is a work computer and two because I dont want the content to be found by my SO. So any thoughts or useful experiences that people have with this type of thing. Thinking about Google Drive or an MS product?

I only trust my own hands. So for latest MacOS your can password your external disk, give this a strong enough password and it's safe. Of course remember to do it twice, so that that you have at least two different external drives. I play safe so I have 4-6 at two different places about 400 km apart. As the other house might burn. For windows there must same kind cryption software for small amount of money available. Just check a bit history, money runs the world and companies come and go. No-one is to full the promises after bankcrupt. I know many stories.
