Need some help from a Thailand expert.

I have just returned from 2 weeks in Thailand and while there I bar fined a very cute (in my eyes anyway) gogo girl from one of the more popular bars in Nana Plaza and ended up spending the next 9 days with her and very memorable days they were to.

I am in Hong Kong over christmas and have decided to take a 2 week detour in the middle to catch up with with this girl (and some others as well if things are different) what rate should I be paying for her time as she will not be working at all while she is with me. The first night I paid 3000 baht + bar fine but the rest of the time I was paying between 1500 & 2000 baht + bar fine depending on what we did during the day (mostly laying in bed with a grin on my face). I have talked to her about returning and she is keen for me to do so but I would like to get everything agreed to upfront.

The main problem I have is she says I still have to pay the bar fine which comes to 8400 baht on top of what I give her.  I presume she gets a cut of this but I rather give her the money & not the bar.

Anyone had any experience with this?

I would do a report on her but I'm going to be greedy and keep her to myself for now, (no she's not doing the deed with other punters while Im not there, honestly she told me so haha).

Normaly you have to pay the normal rate for the first day, but you probably noticed that the girl doesn't ask for the money, you just pay hetr as she goes in the morning. So if you decide to stay with her for about a week, you just give her a package, and don't forget if you are generous with her, she will give you more of herself. So give her 10000 at the begening, pay for many things, byuy her some clothes or other things, and give her 5000 in the middle and thank her at the end with 5000 or 10000.
You can give her more if you can.

Difficult question!
Had in the past a lot of multiday arrangements with Bangkok Gogos
Can give you some insights.
The Nana gogo girls  have a quota to fullfill on barfines and LDs.
Normally between 8 – 12 Barfines and 50 -70 LDs a month.
In a month they have 3 days off. The bar pays them around 10.000 – 12.000 Baht a month
if they are not to late (Penalties here too) and all nights in the bar dancing (minus 3 days of).
The LD money is 50 Baht per drink in hand every night.
If they not fullfill there Barfine quota the get deducted 600 Baht each from her salary.
If they not fullfill there LD quota there is a deduction from her salary 60 Baht per missing drink.
If she no show in her bar, then she get deducted also 600 Baht per day (except 3 days holiday).
The bar owners want to keep there girls in the bar!

So you can count for your girl!
December (Christmas) is also high/peek session!
If she is good looking she can make a lot of money around Christmas and New Year.
Also check first if she has a passport (meeting in Hong Kong?) (many girls: “no have”).

It all depends on how much it will cost the girl in terms of money they get from the bar and money they get from customers

This isn't true of all the bars but you can use this as a rough guide.

Normally there are three types of girls who work in the gogo bars - the waitresses, the gogo girls and then gogo girls who perform is shows or get naked (topless in some bars)

They all receive a monthly salary, again not exact but usually the following:

Waitress - 7,500 baht
Gogo girl - 10,000 baht
Naked gogo girl - 11,500 baht

In order to receive their salary they must turn up to work on time, be bar fined so many times, or sell so many drinks.

The bar fine is usually higher before midnight, however if the bar fine is paid they do not have to go in to work and do not get penalised for missing a nights work.  

Some of the better girls will usually try to go short time before midnight, go back to the bar and go long time or short time again before heading to go out with their friends and maybe look for another score in the bar.

A lot of the girls have boyfriends who send them money from abroad and then leave the bar when they are in town. Ie met girls who are making between 100-200k per month (baht) from the bar and their out of town boyfriends

So for two weeks she will probably loose half her salary, if she is hot and working in a busy bar she is probably takinganother 2-5k a night with customers and another 2-4k in tips and commisions over 2 weeks.  So all in all let's say 5k salary, 3k tips, 30k from going with customers so 40k missed in two weeks

Factor in a discount for not having to work and having everythingpaid for and I'd say what potputmak says seems a good offer to me

Still I'd rather just see a different girl everyday - 2 weeks with a gogo girl can be a roller coaster of emotions. Best off to try and stay detatched or you will become one of the boyfriends sending back money while she promises to be good ...

the above comments should give you a ballpark. my advice: don't fall in love. don't give out crucial personal information.

and whatever you do, DON'T send her money when you're out of the country.

It is thailand.  There are thousands more fish in the sea, don't set up anything upfront.  She is looking for you to start sponsoring her, or there will be a sick child or something to divert funds into her families accounts.

1500-2000baht sounds about right for a decent girl LT in bkk.  1000-1500 in pattaya depending on any number of things.

She has to have 8 bar fines a month, she is not one of the young top of the line models but we just got on extremly well and she has a great sence of humor. While she was with me we stopped in at her work every night anyway so she was still getting her drink chits and I would settle the bar fine while there.

This is a business transaction only which she understands, as I always paid her daily (she then knows I can change at any time) and I also informed her I would not be sending money to support her (and she never asked) as we both know she has to work to make money.
As far as this visit goes I will continue to pay daily (I think I will work on 1500 baht) as I will be feeding her and drinking at her place of work so she will still be earning drink money and paying her bar fine.
I presume she gets a cut of each bar fine after she reach's the minimum of 8?
Based on these figures she would be earning about 25,000 baht for a fortnight + she will have no outgoings as I will take care of that as well.
She is talking about staying at her place (nice enough room) but this will complicate things so I will be getting a hotel room

As for a different girl every night, I prefer the GFE but have no problem moving on if it starts to get messy.

That is not a big deal for her.

Think 1500 Baht + 600 Barfine is a pretty good deal for u, if she stays with u 24 hours.

Shit if she only gets 100 baht per bar fine thats f&%k all in it for her, I might have to up it to 2000 baht a day + bar fine.
On the last trip she was with me 24/7 for the 9 days and it averaged out at about 2300 baht + bar fine a day. One night she was not feeling to well so I left her in the hotel & went drinking on my own so only paid her 1000 baht for that day.

my suggestion: DON'T up yr payment because u don't think her compensation-structure is unfair. she can switch to another bar if she feels the terms are unacceptable. but generally, Thai bargirls switch bars because of disputes with their co-workers, or behavior the management finds less-than-tolerable.

Thai WGs respect a guy who's sensible about expenditures. ask her where she'd like to eat, don't settle for "up to you." trying to impress her with fancy/expensive restaurants isn't a great idea, but small surprise-gifts are a good idea. in BKK, the MBK shopping center has a lot of fun restaurants/shopping/cinemas etc. don't behave like an ATM, but demonstrate that you use yr funds wisely. u can make a game of it: if u spot an item you'd like to buy, eyeball the price (if displayed), then turn the corner and tell her: "please see if you can get me a discount on that item, it'll be worth it" (smile. a lot.). Thais can bargain better than you, so reward her efforts with lunch or whatever. the food-court in MBK has Thai dishes at reasonable prices, some of which aren't easy to find. ever try khao mok gai (chicken biryani) or khao khaa muu (pork stewed in amazing broth)? it's not posh, but you'll eat better at food courts (and street stalls) than restaurants in BKK.

take her to a movie at the Scala. go bowling. plenty of alternatives for FUN, and that's what Thais like: sanuk...fun. more fun = better sex. get on the Skytrain and check out some different neighborhoods...

as you're paying the barfine every day, she's got a guaranteed base-revenue (although bars do charge more for holidays, no one escapes that, alas). and if yr a fun guy, she's not having to go the bar, earning "face" with her co-workers for having a nice fellow barfining her nightly, and hanging out with someone who's prudent with his cash and likes to have fun. this is a good situation for a Thai go-go WG.

Just an update, have agreed to 1,000 baht a day for the 16 days I am there (+ bar fine) but I am taking her to Pattaya for a week as well.
All in all I think its a great deal but I will still pay her daily so if it goes tits up I can move on easily.
