As we all know, this month is a Muslim month for fasting known as Ramadan. So I'm just wondering if the Muslim WG will still provide service during this period?

The Muslim WG must be very careful when offering CIM, she need to make sure she doenst accidentally swallow the cum. That would break her fasting for the day.

No I didn't mean it as a joke, really. I am asking simply because I wanted to visit this WG that is a mixed of Indo but I have no idea whether she is available or not. She doesn't have any number on her DB. And Ramadan is not only about fasting. They also need to resist any evil thinking and behaviors.

Also, back in my country (Indonesia), most of "these" places will be closed during the daytime and yes, it will back in business again after 6pm aka after the sunset.

I know a muslim fren when i was a kid, he told me they are not supposed to swallow their saliva as well.

that seems logical, but i've met a couple personally, and have read accounts from other mongers and their encounters with Muslim WGs.

i'm no theologian, but my understanding is that Ramadan, as one of the five pillars of Islam, is a major part of the religion. many Muslims interpret Islam differently--Malaysia is a very different culture from, say, Saudi Arabia.

for example, the Olympics has started, and i think few expect Muslim athletes to forgo food and drink when they must compete for their nation. you can't go for your personal best when your blood-sugar is in the cellar and the blonde Russian woman has already topped your personal best in the javelin throw. i think any modern Muslim wouldn't deny athletes a protein-shake or two.

Sony, the wonderful Indonesian tech i saw a couple of times in Macau, mentioned it briefly. i asked if she was Muslim, she said "yes, but i do this"..."yeah, well it's OK" i replied. i don't think she was too conflicted (it wasn't Ramadan though).

It could be a fine line to most of them whether Islam is a religious or just a "cultural" thing. Why Croatian Muslim can eat ham but most other muslims don't? Why during menstruation there is no need to fast... also if one "really" cannot fast that day, one can "pay" money to the Mosque to redeem or postphone the fasting time to a "more convenient date"... I don't know the answers or principles behind these, but these are indeed my first hand expereince...

Well, there are exceptions to every rule.

As I understand, you will only break fast if you swallow something "foreign". So saliva is from within your body so technically you are not eating/drinking anything. But if you spit it out and then put it back into your mouth and swallow it, then you break fast!

FYI, there is also a rule whereby during fasting month and you have to break fast due to certain reasons: for example you are sick and need to take medications, you can "replace" that fasting day within the year after Eid-ul Fitri before the next Ramadhan.

Btw, women having their period are also not allowed to fast during Ramadhan and they will need to replace those fasting days.

Of course, you have exception to Fasting; sickness, pregnant, little kids, work hazard, etc.
But these are all "normal" in nature to be considered exception to fasting by muslim.
No doubt whatsoever they can skip /replace the fasting.
