The most common cause is Bacterial Vaginosis: http://www.cdc.gov/std/bv/stdfact-bacterial-vaginosis.htm, which isn't an STD per se, but rather an imbalance in the natural bacteria in a woman's vagina.  It's still stinky though and can cause your unit to smell just as bad (Betadine or other iodine washes will cure this quick, or you can wait a week for it to wear off ).  Same stinko can be caused by a yeast infection.

Of course, stinky pussy can also be a symptom of several STDs.

I'm not sure how to divide the class of stinky pussies, but I think of it as: 1) there are stinky pussies that make you want to retch (Bacterial Vaginosis, STD, etc.) and then there is the occasional strong smelling pussy, which won't make you want to puke but is still not a bed of roses, more like a sweaty armpit, and this is a cat that just needs a better diet and a good wash.

Well written explanation. You are correct that it really is a combination of a lot of things. I don't know if Hunter's explanation about not being pumped often is a good reason for smelliness. But a PH imbalance does cause a bit of an odor, coupled with diet, coupled with hygiene and cleaning it well and also if she's taking any sort of medication, which could also affect the smell down there as well. in my opinion there are different type of smelliness:

1. Smelly Fishy/seafood smell= sometimes during or right after a period
2. armpit smell/sourness= doesn't clean well mixed in with unclean laundry
3. musky smell almost like a man's BO armpit odor= genetics, usually is also emitted by their pubic hair
4. Shit smell= this is mixed in with infection, STD and also perhaps girl wiping their ass in the wrong direction. seriously feces can cause infection in the vaginal area if they do not clean well.
5. chilli pepper smell=attributed to diet where hunan, sichuan, hubei, guizhou love to eat those damn spicy duck neck crap

I don't know if you guys believe in pheromones, but i cannot for the life of me, understand how some guys can NOT mind a pussy smell in which I find repulsive. I think perhaps a girl emits a certain pheromones that attract certain guys over others.

I wasn't so concerned about hygiene or diet related smells as those typically are exhibited on other parts of a girl as well and not exclusive to down below. My main reason for bringing this up is if we encounter any of these more exotic smells, should we bear with it, come back later, or just plain run.

My rule of thumb is this. If you paid for her already and you have already inserted your penis in her vagina and you have discovered this smell.

1. determine how bad the smell is, will you puke if you smell it? Make sure there are no warts or lesions there.
2. If you can bare to breathe through your mouth and not your nose during sex
3. If you are really horny

if all three match up, finish her off quick! and just move on. wash your penis area very well with antibacterial soap and brush your teeth to get rid of the smell in your nose and just drink some juice. that helps
