What to do with my luggage

I have searched the forums thoroughly but I have not found any information that provides a direct answer to my situation, any advice is welcome.

I will arrive HKG at 7pm (on Cathay) and spend the evening in Macau.  The next day I continue on to my final destination with China Southern, departing HKG at noon.  Due to ferry schedules I plan to take the HK Airport train to HK and catch the ferry to Macau from there.  However, the next morning I thought I would just catch the ferry directly from Macau to HKG.  I imagine I will have one pain in the ass bag that I have no use for over the night.  What would be the most convenient option:

1) Leave the bag at HKG and have to go through extra immigration when I go back to the airport?
2) Retrace my steps and leave the bag at HKG, take ferry to HK and take airport train back to HKG?
3) Bring bag to Macau leave in my hotel room and the next morning check it through to the final destination with the ferry folks?
4) Something else?

FYI- I looked into the MTR city check in but CZ isn't one of the airlines that allows 24 hour advance luggage check.

Your responses are welcome and appreciated

Have you already booked a hotel in Macau?
if not you can just leave it at the baggage counter in the Casinos so you wont be carrying it around while you enjoy the nightlife in Macau.

Thanks so much for the advice. I will need some quality sleep that night, so based on the forum I decided to get a room as opposed to napping in the Sauna.  It is refundable, but i plan to shut it down b/w 2-3am as I really do need some decent sleep.

i think your adrenalin will be sky high when in macau watching those hotties all night long and you wont feel the stress until the next day.
since your booking a hotel, then i see no problems w/ your luggage.
load up some energizing drinks and have lots of fun in Macau.
Looking forward to your sexcapdes soon. GOOD LUCK!

If you take the Airport Express into HK when you arrive there is a secure "baggage storage" that I have used several times.  Works well.  Just ask the Information Desk where it is located.

However, Bro, there is a direct ferry from the airport to Macau -- so no need to go to HK city at all.  There might be a storage site at HK airport aswell, though I am not certain.

there is luggage storage at the airport.

but in all reality u have to do two things. either bring it to macau and check in at ferry in macau.

http://www.hongkongairport.com/e ... ce-at-a-glance.html
or second

leave it at the airport luggage storage and go through airport express etc etc.
http://www.hongkongairport.com/e ... ia-faq.html#Baggage

there are your two options.

if i were you, i would take it to macau cause honestly having to retrace steps to hkia via ferry--->hkia express--->check in----> customs
its not worth just lugging it one way to macau and then leaving it with the ferry check in service. the time u gain with the ferry vs. carrying luggage. i think carrying luggage is less of a hassle.

Thank you all so much for your advice.  I will go ahead and bring it with me to Macau, and check it through with the ferry on my departure.  I will fill y'all in on my adventures in late May.  Thanks again for everyone's advice!

It would be ideal to take the Ferry from the airport to Macau, but they seem to run much less frequently thank from the HK ferry terminal.  My flight lands at 7pm (19.00) So I would have a long wait at HKG for the ferry to Macau I am afraid.  If I misread the ferry schedule from HKG to Macau please let me know!

Not only that. I tried to plan on taking the ferry from hkg airport to Macau but found ittoo complicated. You need to reserve the ferry ticket ahead of time, then check your luggage all the way to Macau, just as if you were taking a connecting flight. It did not look easy to me.

When I was there 10 days ago, i ended up picking up my bags, exiting the airport then taking a bus plus taxi to the ferry terminal in Hong Kong. However, i was able to buy my East spa ticket there, which included the ferry fees, at a discount.
