All this time at home over the holidays has made my mind wander to exotic places and women...  

I'm planning my next adventure, and am thinking to base it in Hong Kong/Macau and then fly out on two or three day excursions to other cities.  Macau Air seems to have cheap flights to pretty much everywhere in the region.  There is a ton of info out there on the mainstream mongering locations - Bankok, Pattaya, Angeles City, and so on, but I would also like to try something a bit less glamorous.  

I'm thinking steamy bars in smaller towns where there are fewer foreign faces and I'm not embarrassed for my country by watching the antics of other expats.  I was considering Sanya, and the recent thread on Indonesia also has me curious.

My secondary hobby is photography, and so I would like to put together a trip that includes both my major and minor hobbies.  Besides, returning with a pile of pics is a good cover.

I'm hoping for recommendations for places where it is reasonably safe if you are not a loud boor and stay innocuous, quality p4p is available - not the huge expensive sex palaces but rather smaller bars with company, and the area is interesting.  

I'll be traveling alone, unless I can line up a travel buddy between now and then.

If it is possible, i suggest u to mention your budget. and if u have plan to come to Indonesia, perhaps i can give u some suggestions.

Well as little as possible   I'm not a high-roller.

My mongering/fun budget would be about HKD 900 per day, so probably not every day would be a fun day.  I may have a couple of reading days.  If you have good suggestions re Indonesia, you might want to answer me in that thread, to keep everything in one place.

How long do you plan to stay in HK/Macau?
During my 2 trips last Sept and Dec 2011, i spent 8.5k HK$ for each trip inclusive of airfare, lodging, food, shopping and mongering. Last Sept a 6 days trip and Dec a 4 Days trip.
I suggest you set a certain budget, map a plan then fit in everything you wana do with your trips.

i think with HKD 900 per day u still can have 1 - 2 punts in HK, and u can have 3 till 8 punts in Indonesia.
remember that we have a club that provide "all - u - can - fuck" for only HKD 550, u can fuck up to 8 girls.

I already have a date lined up for Macau (and maybe even accommodation - I'm not sure what her apartment is like), but might try and sneak away and try a sauna as I only tried the two Darlings last time.  

But it is so easy to blow a ton of money in Macau, and I figured some of the more out of the way places would be more photogenic, and also cheaper.

So Macau will probably be a one or two nighter as a stop-over to other places.  

The other reason that I am limiting myself is that this girl sucks all rational thought right out of me, and I may do something stupid like become a bigamist or something...

Damn! How nice! How long are you gonna be travelling? Do you have any rough plans yet? At least, you should know how much you will be carrying and ready to be spending for the whole trip.

Do you mean HKD 900/day is only for the fun, or does it include the hotel where you stay? Maybe you can choose a less expensive hotel to get more punting budget free

It will be in May for one to two weeks, and my budget is a little bit flexible.   As far as plans - I have none - other than I must hit Macau at least once - or maybe twice - on the way home.  The reason it has to be on the way home is that the old laptop that I am using will get 'lost' there and I want to have it for most of the trip.

I don't need super expensive hotels - but need the minimums - security,  hot water and not a hole in the floor as a toilet.  Actually slumming it a bit will be part of the fun.  I won't have an SO with me that demands pampering.  It must be good enough for an overnighter though.  But yes, the 900-1000 is fun and food budget.  I'm budgeting the airfare and hotel separately.

Grand Waldo is an old 5 stars hotel across Galaxy, and it's quite cheap. perhaps only cost u HKD 600. There are also some cheap 3-5 stars hotels in the city.

he is right. i think Cambodia and Vietnam have cheaper WGs than Indonesia. and they are close to HK and Macau,
the airfare will be cheaper too.
