I totally agree with the above ranting bro's about this new RA/Pic system.

It doesn't solve the the problem of report showing to the wg's/agents.

By raising the RA requirements seems to imply that only newbies abuse the trust between bro's on this forum, and somehow seniors wouldn't do such a thing.

However in the recent past as SEAN has kindly pointed out, a senior bro did do such a thing.

I agree that the moving of goalposts farther away only serves to demotivate those bros that are posting excellent reports.

IMHO it seems to me that newbies are being punished for the fiasco that occurred not many weeks ago by that same senior bro.

I don't know what that's going to achieve apart from fewer reports from frustrated newbies that feel the bar has been raised too much and given up.

you need to look at the guidelines in their entirety. the reason why the guidelines took months to be announced is because this update required us to consider changes to address the numerous issues of the forum, ranging from fake reports to member indiscretion to everything in between.

this is not the first time that credit minimums for ranks have been increased. the previous increase was wholesale, affecting all levels of membership. this increase only affected the first 2 rungs, mainly to address the increasing number of fakers. proper contributors will get to the next level maybe a week or two later than if the rankings were based on the old minimums. that shouldn't affect them a lot. if NNs or MMs are posting excellent reports, they will be at CC in no time. i have not encountered any bro who is posting excellent reports take long to get to CC

another reason why the guidelines took a while was because the mod team looked at the overall picture in addition to individual specific issues to ensure that not only do we address the issues, but we can hopefully pre-empt future issues as well.

i'm pretty confident that if we rehash this discussion 6 months later we would have seen a lot of issues addressed and a whole bunch of contributing newbies getting their rightly RA levels as well.

cheers

Bro DaBestHK

Thank you for your reply to my and other bro's concerns.

But I fail to see how increasing the K requirements for CC will reduce the number of fake reports.

If anything wont this just lead to more fakers?

What happened last time when credit minimum ranks were raised?

An increase in fake reports?

To senior bros - a couple of suggestion

Gents, thought I'd put out my two bits worth here.

I came upon the 141.com site, due to the direction given here by a mainstream publication. After getting on the site, visited the forum and simply fell for it. Not because of all the testosterone fuelled stories by themselves. But because there were pictures that authenticated the whole story. And most importantly, I had found a space where I can be just me. No pretence. I like punting. I like visiting WGs and getting my rocks off. But no where in the real world, could I really share the stories or hear/read what other like minded guys had been doing. Stating something like a WG experience to a few ultra-close friends in real, is nothing like being here on this site and sharing stuff with people whom I have never met, but learned quickly to respect. This is not my tongue up any senior bro's arse. Just my honest opinion.

Obviously the RA system, eggs me to get in quality reports and get the requisite Ks to be able to see the real deal pics. And initially after seeing the newer set of guidelines, my thoughts were -- ok, a higher bar. No problem, I will do what I can, when I can and get there. Will take longer, but eventually get there. This means being patient a bit more, so what? The main reward for me, which is the interaction with the linkes of JackTheBat or Sean or reading Wander's hilarious takes or sometimes laughing even days after because some bro made a remark that was a killer laughter inducer is the key factor. And this interaction has nothing to do with the RA system. I do not need an RA to read reports and to interact. Happy.

Regarding the anonymity and privacy angle, I fully agree, that what is discussed in this forum, remains in this forum. Member anonymity is an important thing for about 95% of bros here, IMO. So why do something like sharing reports/pics/member names outside this forum and burn others? For what? A perceived better experience with the LB and that particular WG? For a monetary benefit i.e. discount? It is all balanced in the end. You save somewhere, you pay somewhere else. You make somewhere, you lose somewhere else. I'd rather be pro-bros and pro-forum, as the free interaction here is more valuable to me...

There are two suggestions:

1. If any bro, senior, middle, junior - whoever does this sort of sharing and burning, and is found out - first time, reduce to NN. And perchance if same bloke after getting back to a CC and above level, does it again and is found out... ban. No consideration.

2. There has been long discussions about not enough NNs coming in or writing up quality reports or being discouraged due to high RA settings. There is a statute of limitations in real life. Why not here? Again, I am not stating what is the time span. It is for the Admin/mods to discuss and agree. But for example, if there is an agreed timespan after which the RA restrictions come down (even if it is only down a few notches - enough for an MM @RA20 to view), it gives a very clear incentive for NNs and MMs to report, as now they can be enthused by what's been done in the past?

Edit: PS: This post has now been copied to the new thread found here: http://forum.sex141.com/eforum/v ... page%3D1#pid408696. Hence, if you have any comments, please do so on that thread. Thank you :-)

okay so I've spent the last good hour and half reading through several pages of this topic of the etiquette of picture taking versus photo posting. Tired from reading any further I have yet to find the answer to my question from the start of this thread.

I know you must ask for permission to take any pictures of any kind with any WG. That was a no brainer.
I now know (from reading) that you must ask for permission to allow the pictures taken to be posted on this forum.

Question:
After getting approval from the WG that she will let you post her pictures on this forum. How do I prove that she said it was okay?
The only thing I can think of would be in a written form with her signature and holding the signed document in a separate picture.
Or is there a rule/guideline I should follow before posting any of my pictures?

Mike.

Dude, if the WG didn't agree, you don't shoot (all puns intended ). Be a gentlemen about it. If they say yes but no face, shoot and show the WG first. Usually they will still put they hands on their face to cover up.

From the pictures, experienced bros will be able to tell if the shot was stolen, or given.

Getting a written consent? Cumbersome isn't it? May as well use the minutes spent on writing or filling the form to good use on the punt itself instead...

Just IMHO.

Monger Safely,
Tuff
