Shopping in HK

Hi Bros,

Where do you guys recommend places or streets to go to buy consumer goods for much cheaper then in the States. I have heard Cat street is good but have never been. I am looking for gifts to bring back for xmas presents. I would love to bring a wg home but we all know that won't happen unless I break the bank ;) Thanks

Dude,

It depends what you want to buy. Just walk on nathan Rd from TST towards Jordan and Mong KoK, and you will find plenty of shops of all variety. good luck.

Kowloon is definitely the better side to be on for shopping. Depending on what you are looking. Things in Hk change pretty quickly but last time I was at the Macau ferry pier in TST they had a couple stores selling Polo shirts etc.
Mong Kok is a good place for almost anything, if you like adventure, there is a store called Overlander - their biggest outlet is in Mong Kok area, I cannot remember the exact location but its in a building on like the 9th or 12th floor. They also have decent electronic stores, near The Body Shop, as well as stores that sell gear for paint ball and air rifles.
You can also get a suit made in a few days for around HK$1500 - 2k in one of the buildings. If you have the time and dont mind walking, I would recommend just walking in and out of all the buildings and seeing what there is to offer.
Happy shopping.
