honest person in that you have given your true feelings on matters you've brought up in the threads.

As a fellow human being, I don't agree with most of the things you said you've done simply because I
believe we all should hold some degree of integrity in our actions.

Actually, I'm sitting in a Starbucks in Shenzhen - the internet is free and I've yet to find a better coffee shop. At least it's warm. The RMB$ 280/night hotel I'm in is really very decent, but the internet is slow and it's not heated! I'm from Boston, and HK does not get cold by New England standards (say -20 C) but at home everything is heated. Here the damp cold creeps up on you. I remember when I first went to Taiwan to study in the 70's; I looked up the average winter temp in the library and decided I didn't need to bring a jacket, so the warmest thing I had with me was a light sweater. That first winter I froze my ass off!

Neither work nor mongering. I'm in HK on a tourist visa, so every 3 mths, I have to haul my sorry ass across some border. I came to HK in July just for a mth or so, but then discovered the delights on offer in the GDB. Since I don't have any reason to live in one place rather than another, I decided to stay and indulge myself. But right now I'm broke until the next check rolls in. So for the next week it's just Starbucks and the computer.

I'm thinking of moving to Shenzhen or someplace on the Mainland - the rents here are 1/3 of HK prices for twice the quality. 3K RMB get's a real nice 2 bedroom over here. Of course, the visa would be a problem.
