A lot of PRC gals who become a WG's had decided that the only way they could get ahead in life is to go and sell themselves - LITERALLY whilst they still could. Most plan on only doing this until they can get enough to build a house for their family, help out their family out of some particular immeditate needs, start some kind of business or even put together enough cash/net worth for them to be able to pick and chose better who they marry - the thinking being that if they have more, then they can "match" guys/famlies that is "worth" more.

In most cases, they'd be out there for 3 or 4 years max and do revert back to "Civvie Life" after this "golden period of their youth and most beauty" which they truly feel they must take advantage of or it would be just a waste.

Oh of course I'm generalsing which may not be good for there ARE WG's in China who are nothing like I described; but these - I'd offer you the explanation - are those who got caught up in the life-style, the high living, the easy money - and also in many cases, drugs, gambling and worst of all, a Pimp Boyfriend.

But since PRC tastes are what they are, any gal over 25 have a hard time making any kind of living as a WG and thus the reason why there are "Older" gals working in Hong Kong and other places around the world.  Some also hang around Shekou in SZ and in more "western" venues like Zapata's in Shanghai, Susie Wong in Beijing etc.

For me as a foreigner, its great to hear the views of the people from Asia and grown up in asia with asian values. Something I missed out on. Indeed, these views suggest a lack of asian working girls in farther places like america, australia and new zealand. But since I have been to those countries, there doesnt seem to be a shortage as such. Afterall, there is less demand (less population) than asia.
