Hong Kong (particularly TST area) is filled with things called night clubs.  As a foreigner, I find this to be one of the most interesting aspects of pooning and nightlife.  Here's a brief guide to some of them that I've experienced over the years. (Note: prices may have adjusted from my experience. If anyone knows the actual current prices, please feel free to comment or mod)

There's several nightclubs near the water fountain in TST. I think there's something against me naming names so you'll have to try and figure out which is what but all of these operate in a similar fashion with the exception of prices.

As you enter the nightclub, generally you will be greeted by either a lady with a walkie talkie or an E. Indian who will get the elevator for you.  They will ask you your name (I always use my friend's name instead of my own for reasons you will see later) and ask you how many of you there are.  Then you will enter the elevator as they relay the info via walkie talkie.

As you exit the elevator you will hear chimes and chimes of people welcoming you with the name you have provided.  They will escort you to a room that is equipped typically with a television, a large couch and tables to match accordingly.  They will then ask you if want any particular manager.  If you know one you provide that manager's name.  If not they will bring in one for you.  You then wait in the room and the manager will come in after several moments.  They will then greet you and tell you generally how many girls/type of girls are available. (If it's your first time there, asking about the pricing is a GREAT idea at this point.)  You will then indicate who amongst you and your friends wants girls and which type of girls and also what you want to drink (beer or whiskey generally) .  Typically local girls don't "go out" and china girls do.  There are exceptions to the rule.  As for what going out means, if they go out, after all the drinking and fun at the night club, they will accompany you to a hotel and you will usually get the standard service of a hg there.

So, the manager will then bring in the girl(s) and you will have the option of wanting her to stay or send her away.  If you send her away then, they will get another one until you have one that stays or you have exhausted their supply and you should give up or choose one you saw earlier (IF she is still available).  After you have chosen your girl, she will then sit with you, talk, you feel her up, she brushes you up (note: the feeling up and brushing is NOT a given.  Just seems to be that way for me. Act accordingly and read your signals.), play drinking games, drink, drink, sing karaoke, eat, whatever happens.  When you have had your fill for the night, you can then tell the girl to get the manager and call it a night.  The manager will ask you if you want to go out.  Pay the bill and onto the next step.

If you go out, typically the girls will get changed into street clothes and then escort you like your new girlfriend to a taxi to a nearby hotel/motel.  You will pay the taxi fare of course.  You will pay for the room fee (usually a few hundred bucks) and then it's standard HG service from there.  After the deed, the girl will shower, dress and leave (with or without you) unless you manage to negotiate something extra with her.

Now, pricing:

-If you sit with a girl and send her away you will be charged in increments of 15 minutes generally.  (think this is usually in the region of a few hundred bucks)
-If you sit with a girl for the rest of the night, you will be charged by the hourly rates.
-Your drinks will be charged unless you can get the manager to take care of it which usually takes a long established relationship with the manager or a really good talker. (while this isn't 7-11 prices it's usually not ridiculous - when in doubt ask your manager)
-You will be charged for nuts, chips, pretzels or whatever the hell they put on the table for you. (usually 1-2 hundred bucks worth of it)
-You will be charged for a plate of fruits. (usually a 1-2 hundred bucks worth of it)
-You will be charged if you request to turn on (or if they turn it on without your request and without you objecting) the karaoke machine. (couple hundred here again)
-You will be charged if you order food (is usually reasonably priced but why the hell are you eating here unless you're piss drunk like me and have severe munchies)
-The girl that stays with you is charged in 2 or 3 hour increments.
-If you go out, the fee for the girl is charged to the bill. (Usually 1.5-2k)

Generally, if you go with a buddy or two at the TST place it will be somewhere in the region of 5k for EACH of you for this tab for 2 or 3 hours of fun (I'm usually done by then anyways) at the club including take out and assuming you don't sit with every girl and send her away right after.  I'm usually too drunk to notice what the bill is plus getting charged to the company expense account makes it that much less painful.

While I have never been rejected at any of these places, it certainly helps to speak chinese as most managers and girls don't speak fluent English.  

These places is where GFE really feels like GFE.  While the deed may not necessarily be GFE (YMMV), the rest of it certainly feels like it.  Generally the service and looks of the girls is higher and you can get a good sense of if there's a bad vibe before you even get to the take out phase.  Don't be shy about changing the girl if she's not vibing with you.  It's your money.  Trust your instincts.  Of course, if you want to make someone who's clearly not enjoying being with you give you service well you deserve whatever you get.  Don't need to tip the girl. You've paid enough already.  Of course, if you have too much money, hell give your her bank account and your credit cards.

Note: there are different pricing structures of peak hours vs non-peak hours and the difference is quite significant.  Peak hours are generally 7pm-1am.  I think the difference will be about 20-30% of your tab.  The prices I mentioned above are peak hours.

prices for the drinks are still considered reasonable.
but sometimes it's the minimum charge for the room that's ridiculous.

and for guys who like drinking beer.
some KTVs (also near the fountain) has free-flow beer promotion.
HK$500 per person for unlimited beer.
more afforable when you go KTV alone or in small groups.

Why not a section for these and reports on them? I suppose names/numbers of the girls would have to be removed similarly to the sauna thread but otherwise it wouldn't be hard to report on the individual ladies?

sometimes they have quite pretty local girls but u need to work them to maybe get them to go out with them or call them out if u get their number

garden51 has really hot girls but is ridiculous expensive and u cant really do much

Is it odd to go alone?  Does it put a big L on your forehead to go by yourself?  Does the 500 beer charge include the room cost or is the room cost just an overall min. Charge.

For inexperienced guys, i guess the cost could even be more or if the manager feels you are a sitting duck (ie. easy target to flush). I guess this option, like the girly bars in the other thread, is not for the cost-conscious!

a few questions:

-Do these places cater to non locals or foreigners?
-Are the girls all local Hker & mainlanders? Are there non chinese or even non asians?
-How is the experience & pricing compared to the ones in China...say Shenzhen?
-When you say the girl is GFE, is it more like an act or there is really good repoire?  I know YMMV but would it be a good assumption that the deed will be great in your experience bc there is a natural build up?
-Considering the price, do you just carry tons of cash?

5K for 2-3 hours of fun appears rather steep
I am hoping I can finally make a trip to HK & get my local friend there to give this a whirl as I never tried one in HK.  The ones here srsly sucks eggs, I rather donate it to charity...that is how bad it is honestly

I've done this a bunch of times and at least for me, i really dont like it.  I only go with a certain group of friends who actually like this scene.I find that the girls are all very fake friendly.  I cant get into it, no matter how hard the girls try.   I'd rather go to a strip club!

Yes, it makes my head boggle...  HKD 5K = 20K baht...  For 12.2K baht, you can fly Cathay to Bangkok for the night.  600 baht hotel transfers, 2000 baht for a nice hotel room.  That leaves 5200 baht...  You can get a top-of-the-line freelancer all night for that.  Then fly home in the morning...  Very refreshed...
