hey just wondering if i come to visit hk around july. would 1 or 2 bro here wanna go bring me to bar scene to have a couple of beer(first round of beer on me la) help me and lead me the right way . hate to go alone there, as i dont have any friends in hk right now wouldnt mind making some new friends exchange storys of punting in different countries

As nobody knows you yet, it's going to be hard to find people who are interested in meeting up. However, if people get to know you, thru reports, etc, they'll be more inclined to do what you are suggesting.

I can't speak for Wan Chai, but in Shanghai, as someone who lives here, I have NEVER gone to any of the hooker bars, such as Manhattans and etc.  But when I go to HK, i dont mind going to WanChai because I don't have to worry about my " public " reputation amongst other locals.  I work in music/arts/nightclub so in SH a decent amount of people might know me or recognize me so I have to kinda keep my reputation and standards up.  Also, I have a s.o and there's no good way of explaining why you were at the hooker bar.

more reason why its a tourist place to pimp out

1. I'm not into alcohol.

2. I'm not into Filipinas.

3. I don't see the attraction of extended shopping/wooing of a hooker; I enjoy convenience and aquick transaction, not spending hours chatting up a service provider. I also don't want to go home with anyone, spend time with them after, or anything similar. It's just a service visit for me, an oil change for my cock.

4. If I want to hang out in a bar, the Wanchai bars are not the kind of place I'd go to

The quality of the PI girls at the ho ho bars in Wanchai have significantly gone downhill in the recent years.  Almost to the point of 8/10 is straight up FUGLY.  However the Thai and Vietnamese girls at the ho ho bars have significantly improved.

Haha. Just joking Bro.  The scene is not for everyone, I admit.  But you are wrong about the quality - I have met many absolutely stunning Thai, Filipina, indonesian, Mongolian, Russian, etc, in the bars.  

I like to "party" in addition to just wham-bam sex.  So the scene is perfect for me.  But that's just me.....  To each their own!

Would you happen to NOT be Chinese?  Chinese and non-Chinese differ on extreme levels most of the time.

Never been to Wanchai bars but I would say i would not go because of option C as well. Similarly I didn't particularly enjoy going to Thai bars in Pattaya as well. All the girls did was seemingly milk you for the bar drinks and cheekily would ask you to buy for their freinds as well - couldn't be bothered with that.. Can people confirm would the majority of guys there be caucasian or would there be local Hk guys there as well just out of interest?

Not caucasian but I would say you don't see many local guys.  Or to put it another way, there are plenty of expats in these bars.

Yep, I see a few local Hk'ers in the bars, but admittedly very few. I am Caucasian (to answer a previous question).

It does seem to be an ex-pat scene alright.  Kinda odd now that I think about it.., we are a tiny minority within the 7.5 million Hong Kongers.

I never really thought about it until I had some visitors over from the UK.  On their first night, we went out to KLF and then Soho for a few beers.  We were walking down Wyndham Street and one of them asked me why there appeared to be hardly any locals in HK.

Looking up and down the street, it was surprising at how 80% of the population appeared to be expats.

I figured so, although I'm sure there are many absolutely "stunning Thai, Filipina, indonesian, Mongolian, Russian, etc, in the bars."  A local HK or even perhaps a non-local Chinese guy like myself would not consider them stunning, hence why you don't find locals there.  I'm usually a lot more "STUNNED" by absolutely stunning girls in China, the others don't do it for me, not that I've not met some that blew my mind, but overall, I've noticed that my non-Asian friends have incredibly different tastes than the typical Asian guy.  I have a few friends who are married to some (what I consider very ugly Asian women) but in their eyes, their wives are Goddesses, should I feel sorry for them or jealous?  Probably jealous.  A perfect example would be Lucy Liu, she would go no where in China or HK but in the US she's a Goddess to all the non-Asians, to me and many other Chinese, I swear we call her a horse head on a hot body.

Interesting perspective.  I had never thought of that. I had always assumed it catered for expats and grew from there.

Lucy Liu is a very striking looking woman. Of course have seen better looking chinese girls, but she does have an unusual, exotic look.  And a smoking body.

Kelly Hu is another I would put in that category (although she is of Korean parents).
