During a recent stay in Hong Kong I went to a well known park in the New Territories (the north part of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Zone).

Saw a non-Chinese woman, maybe mid-20s, but perhaps a little older, wandering by herself.  We got talking, … as you do.

She was from the Phillipines, and having a few days off. She had been in HK for about 6 months, didn't know much Cantonese, her employers didn't know much English, and she was bored, bored, bored and lonely, lonely, lonely.

Asked her did she want to go to the Art Museum at TST.  "Art museum, blah blah blah …" "OK!"

"Warm day, too warm for my jacket. Need to drop my jacket off at my apartment , blah blah blah." "OK!"

"Like to see some of my photos on my computer, blah blah blah." "OK!"

Go to Lockhart road on a Sunday afternoon - the bars are full of filipina maids on their day off and they love a bit of attention as they women outnumber the guys 50 - 1.  

Plenty to choose from and no money will change hands.

But maybe those in Lockhart Rd are not looking for free civi.. but for some GFE with negotiated fee.

Indeed if you are into Filipinas, I think it's not hard to find one on a fine Sunday morning in the park.Central may be too crowded, but if you're lucky you'll definitely attract throngs of them.

If you get involved with girls who are quite religious, they like to invoke the words of God, send god blesses sms/emails to you, or want to invite you to meet God whenever they are getting into an act(s) that is considered immoral. Definitely agree with you. But some of them are also bordering with hypocrisy.  While they use these greetings, I sometimes doubt if they're used only as expression rather than mean them. And theymay have cheated their husbands or bfs while they say yes to our proposals..

Yes, very true every evening in Wan Chai. But Sunday is the day off for 200,000+ filipina Domestic helpers and if only 1% of that want to hang out in a bar still means a few very full bars!

This is during the day on a Sunday from midday until around 7pm when I lot tend to float off home I guess.

If you head to one of the parks where they all hang out they are very friendly and won't take long until you are invited to join a group.  But you do look more than a bit out of place I guess unless you are a filipino guy.  Also, would be a bit harder to turn the conversation around to getting your end away.  Never tried, and doubt I ever will.

I have seen tourists (at least I saw them with maps and cameras) trying to take photos of women who were glad to oblige but yes indeed unless you are confident,  you'll feel a bit out of place. When it starts awkwardly, it's time to back off. But who knows a good conversation might just be from someone sitting alone in the corner..

Parks. Bars too noisy sometimes to strike a good conversation. One was in Kowloon Park -- I have difficulty sometimes distinguishing Filipinas and Indonesians but maybe the dress and all will help.

I've been tempted to go to Central and have a chat with them in front of the HSBC main headquarters (the groundfloor of the bldg is just way too noisy for me). But I never did.

I have tried the following:

1. Chat via Yahoo! Messenger (there used to be virtual chat rooms filled with Filipinas)

2. Personally go to chat places in Li Yuen street and rent PCs... along the way a friendly Filipina often gets my attention.

Sometimes they come in groups, which I don't mind. But it can be more than I bargained for.
