Bhutan and India

Was wondering if anyone has an opinion on Bhutan.... is it worth the money to visit Bhutan. I will be going to India in March and was wondering if I should arrange a visit to Bhutan.
Has anyone on this forum visited Bhutan before ??? If so what are your thoughts. Thanks in advance Bob

I think you'll be disappointed by what the Indian sub continent has to offer, but if your determined to give it a try have a look at ISG.

This won't be a mongering trip. I will be traveling with my ATF anyways we have a friends with benefits relationship so
mongering isn't a big concern on this trip.

I'm just wondering if going to Bhutan is worth the extra cost ..... the India part of the trip is already a given.

I heard Bhutan only allow it television recently. And Bhutan people favourite pasttime is archery. I guess not much mongering around there.

Buthan is somehow amazing, more like a museum than a country. In a lot of places people live like 200 years ago, development just did not take place…
When I was there for only 4 days I learned for my live: “money is not necessary to be happy”. If you go there you will see happiness in the eyes of so many people even if they gave a very simple life without any luxury.
The trip is quite expensive but I believe the money from tourists is used wisely. Make sure that when you go there you can be in a town when they celebrate a festival.
To all others:  sometimes there is more than hunting gals when traveling

in the same comment as this

...rather ironic
