Al Gore 'investigated over alleged sex assault'

ALLEGATIONS of a sex assault by former US Vice President Al Gore were investigated by police in Portland in 2009, the District Attorney's office in Multnomah County, Oregon revealed today.

An Oregon woman initially brought a complaint of “unwanted sexual contact” by Mr Gore to the DA’s office in late 2006 and early 2007 but did not want criminal investigations to proceed.

District Attorney Michael Schrunk said his office was made aware today of a further investigation by Portland police in 2009.

“If the complainant and the Portland Police Bureau wish to pursue the possibility of a criminal prosecution, additional investigation by the Bureau will be necessary and will be discussed with the Portland Police Bureau,” Mr Schrunk said in a written statement.

Mr Gore and his wife of 40 years Tipper announced their separation earlier this month. The news was followed by reports that the former VP was having an affair with Laurie David, fellow environmentalist and ex-wife of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star Larry David.

Why the heck go to the DA if you don't want criminal proceedings?  What do they think the DA does?  Gentle counseling?

Al Gore is well known for his sexual exploits but this has not been openly publicized until now. He many have gotten the bug from Bill Clinton. He's quite a player and has a preference for young girls (who hasn't) aged between 18-22 while the former president likes older and uglier women. Think old Al has had sex more with young girls than Bill and won't be surprised if he and the former president has had orgy parties in the White House.

I'll wait to hear more, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is a beat up, an attempt by his right wing opponents to smear a high profile supporter for action on global warming. There are a lot of vested interests in the fossil fuel industries who will be quietly celebrating the blackening of his name.

My guess would be that once the divorce became public they started rummaging through his conquests, looking for someone with a grudge willing to put up some spurious charges that may well disappear once the PR damage has been done.

As a public figure, whatever indiscretion you had committed in the past always comes back to haunt you. It's strange that only now all of Al's womanizing is coming out. It was a well kept secret as when his divorce was announced no one understood why this could happen. Al had a good time promoting his movie, "An Inconvenient Truth". He first focused on the college circuit and why you think he went that route. So many cute college girls he must have had in that 8 month college circuit tour. I envy the guy. Now he is no longer in politics and can monger as much as he wants and probably get more college babes for free.

Hehe, so true! Public figures have life so much harder. I mean, imagine walking into a 141 if you are president of usa   You know his human nature would want him to go!!! Haha. thats why I didnt become the president
