my Hawks played a really sloppy first 2 periods but when the chips were down, they dominated the 3rd period and took a game that could have easily been the Flyers'. I expect to see Game 2 similar to the 3rd period, with the Hawks playing much better defense and limiting Flyer chances.

Game started off kind of boring tonight but hawks 2 fast goals in the second really kick started the game....current scoe 2 to 1 for the hawks...gonna be an exciting finish to this game, I can just feel the tension

I hate to admit this again, but Philly, just like in game 1, could have easily come out with the victory.  They pretty much outplayed the Hawks in the last 2 periods save for the 2 quick goals.  Good think Niemi was in his " Pro" mode instead of his "Antii" mode

I think the Hawks will take 1 out of the 2 in Philly and then close it out in Game 5.

yeah crazy 3rd period.....Niemi was standing on his head.

If the hawks take their foot off the pedal, the flyers are gonna take both home games then best out of 3.

Personally I would love the Hawks to take the cup just because I dispise Pronger

The Hawks look so tired out there tonight in game 3 . It almost seemed like they were short handed most of the game. Flyers deserve to win tonight. Lets hope the Hawks put on a better effort in game 4.

SERIES TIED!!! Home ice seems like the ultimate advantage here.  If this theory holds, then it will be hawks in 7

I really want to see philly get an away game.  Both teams are really at it, i love it, and these 1 goal games are so exciting!  GO PHILLY GO!

well, as they say, the series doesn't start until someone wins a road game, so if things goes to status quo, I'd be ok with that.  The Hawks finally figured out things in the 3rd period and probably with a little bit more time would have caught the Flyers in Game 4.  I'm optomistic about Game 5.

just like I thought, the Hawks used their momentum from Game 4 and dominated the Flyers.  Though the Flyers sure are a pesky group and stayed without shouting distance after the first period.

We'll see which trend gets broken on Wednesday.  So far the home team has won all the games.  The Hawks have won every game on NBC, while the Flyers have won both games on Versus.  Game 6 is on.....NBC!

Hawks looked like the team that got them to the cup final tonight....great energy and speed!

Keeping my fingers crossed that they can pull it off in Philly in game 6

If the blackhawks continue to hit and pester Pronger the way they did last night, they should be looking pretty good to close it all out in game 6 on Wednesday.  Pronger was the key to the wins in philly.

Habs Fan

As a Canadiens fan it was very disappointing to see them exit to the Flyers. I thought the
Hawks would kill Philly but they have somehow managed to keep it interesting. Still looking for
the Hawks to close it out tomorrow night.

Congratulations Hawks!

Congrats to the Champs - there have been close games for the Hawks in the post-season- but I think they were the team that has delivered throughout the play-offs. Well done
and finally Hossa wins the Cup..

Yeah, congrats to Chicago.  Now I don't feel so bad that the Sharks lost to them (not that I really ever felt bad anyway, LOL!), San Jose just happened to lose to the best team!  OK, now I can turn my attention to other sports!

thanks cdnflyer...first Stanley Cup ever that I can celebrate....the last one was just before I was born.  That though had to be one of the worst calls of a golden goal ever in the history of sports.

It was a thrilling series, one of the most hard-fought series I have ever seen. It was pretty plain that Chicago was the more talented team, but all the credit goes to the Flyers, they battled and battled and it really felt like a Rocky performance, where Apollo Creed (Chicago) kept pounding but the Flyers just kept on being so resilient.

Now hopefully one of these decades my Cubs will break the streak as well...
