Wow - last year in the Houston office it was cash only - I guess they have changed the policy. Thanks for the update R1

random1 can you check your passport does it say 30 or 60 day coz i have a U S passport too.

I have 30 days for my 2010 visa.

But looking at my 2007 visa, they gave me 60 days and I didn't request it.

Here's the info from the State Dept for US passport holders:

only reason I asked in the first place, when you are applying for a visa, one of the requirements is having at least 2 sheets in your passport.  I don't know why this is
a rule.

they really jack up the rates for americans.
Europeans and other countries pay alot less.
maybe it is because of all that U.S. debt they bought up

It's called reciprocity. The US charge the same rate for a Chinese national applying for a US visa. And also seems that they change the rules every time there is a political instance between the two countries.

Only HKID holders can get 6 or 12 months multiple entry visas in HK now. Without HKID the most a foreign passport holder can get in HK is a 3 month double entry visa.

All multiple entry visas for China, need to be applied for in your home country, unless you have HKID.

hmmmm... tasty
