I recognise the cop, he is actually an ex pro soccer player and his instincts kicked in and he went auto robotnic for the "dive" .  Notice the puzzled look as he could not see the ref coming in to award the free kick.

Why the hell are you guys ragging on the cop so much?

They knew exactly who she was and with all the paparazzi taking photos and video there was nothing they could have done beforehand to detain her or stop her. They could not have done anything remotely off the book, even for her own good. She was being disrespectful and acting like a total bitch. The cop was thinking on his feet. I heard the news footage and after she slapped the cop and the cop went down, another cop immediately said aloud, "She hit him, she just assaulted a policeman."

By taking the dive and acting hurt, the cop gave them enough reason detain her and let her sober up.

I'm not saying he's a hero, but under the limitations of the law, he was just doing his job.

He should get a new job with TVB for acting. I am ashamed of such a police force protecting the city. If I am his boss, I would recommend he push pen forever.

She's the neice of a High Court judge who's previously been arrested for abusing the police and causing a public disturbance, smashing lights at a bar etc....and 'supposedly' is Bi-Polar.....

but of course she continues to drink and drive and gives off the attitude that because she's conencted to a Judge she can get away with whatever she wants....

The slap on the Cop, the problem is from that angle its hard to see if her fingers or whatever got him in the eye, or right on the temple which can bring you down...also is she wearing chunky rings etc that couyld have helped?

Just her general attitude is asking for trouble....as much as people bitch and moan about the HK Police, they are very restrained which has probably given many of us a break in the pas....how many times have you seen people arguing with the Cops in a way that in other countries would have seen them getting arrested and possibly shitkicked by the Cops in other countries?

i agree that him getting slapped is reason enough for them to detain her and give her time to sober up, which is good for her. however, he does not have to fall down and act in such a way. the slap in itself, is already an act of assault, and is reason enough for them to detain her, but for him to fall down and stuff is just a little bit over the top.

put it this way, and what i am really saying is, if those i trust to protect my safety can go down like that with just a slap, then how is he supposed to tussle with real criminals that rape/steal/assault etc?

and maybe someone can fill me in on this one here, but wasnt she doing a DUI? she was refusing a breathalizer and by doing so, isnt that already reason enough to detain her? perhaps she is connected, and even if there were tons of paparazzi's, they could have still detained her and it would be totally by the books no?

There are no criminals that "rape, steal, or assault" in HK so the cop is not use to it. That's why he acted the way he did.

I never heard of that story about Zsa Zsa before.  I find it interesting.  Yes in America, police can be rude troublesome and are just as bad as the criminals.  However unlike Hong Kong most criminals here carry guns!     So American police very     rude to people, because they all carry badge and guns.

His raction is funny after the slap.
But the fact is she crash into a bus, refuse to take th alcohol test, try to leave (only speeking english and say I want to leave) and then slap a policeman in front of every body.
She was drunk or on drugs, if not she is dawn stupid.

... didn't she got in to trouble also in 2001 and was found carrying a small amount of cocaine? of course she didn't get a jail sentence....


please give the officer a break......... HK perhaps have the most polite officers in the world already.... acting or not acting he never deserve to be slapped in the first place.....
