According to Confuciusm, the last thing anyone wants to do is alter their body in any way because that is a form of disrespect to your parents. your parents born you the way you are, and that's how you should die so to get tattoos, piercings, anything done to your body is a huge disrespect to them so I highly doubt the pious WGs will do that. Mind you there are some who dont give a rats ass about tradition or respect  but teh ones that do will not. Many of the WGs are still very loving and respectful to their parents so I highly doubt it will be mainstream
