I have never seen so many J gals on the DB at the same time. I wonder if the papas are stocking up on them in anticipation of the Mainland gals going home for the lunar new year soon? I counted 22 of them plus 7 K gals. I haven't tried either but I might have to soon if the rest disappear to their home villages.

Sik, it's hard to say about the J and K gals.  I know Koreans observe the lunar new year also, so I don'tthink you should jump to any conclusions on availability of ladies come CNY.

I've actually been watching the JGs for the last couple of months.  I'm curious to try one, but I'm holding out until I find one who speaks English and is smiling in her pictures.  For most of them, the closest they get to smiling is a look that reminds me of babies when they have gas and need to burp.  

But in any case, I think the number of JGs has been holding pretty steady in the low 20s.  From the pictures, however, I suspect that some girls have multiple profiles.  So I would bet that the number of girls is actually less...

Mars--When the economy is bad, the cost of WG's goes down is my only point.  China/HK is ascendant now and Japan is in the toilet and will continue to be there for a long time. There is a Changing of the guards in the world, why wouldn't it follow that JG are going to be working more and making less?

The economy has sucked in Japan for more than a decade now, and punting prices haven't dropped to those levels yet. Read what guys in the International Section are saying about what it now costs to get laid in Japan. Will the economic situation in Japan get so bad that Japanese WGs will be coming to HK to work for lunch money - maybe; but we're not there now.

In any case, walking around any of the big Japanese cities, you'd never guess the economy is hurting. I was amazed at how well people held up even when the price of real estate dropped 80-90% from the peak in the late 80's. In any other country that would have resulted in another Great Depression, but Japanese girls continued to shop at Gucci.

Even putting aside the economic reasons why these girls can't be Japanese, there are all the reports from guys who say they are in fact Korean.

And most of these girls don't even look Japanese. Most of them have had extensive plastic surgery - a hallmark of Korean girls and relatively rare in Japan. 50% of all Korean women have eye surgery to give them the big anime eyes you see in the ads.

And frankly, these girls are a lot better looking than what you find in Japan. Japanese women are the plainest of all northern Asians.

I strongly suspect that Japanese cost of living is the main reason why the prices for a chicks have not dropped there.  It's very expensive to live in Japan, for instance a can of soda would be 100 yen, or $1 dollar US or approximately in 2010 $7 dollar HK.  The rents and homes in Japan are very expensive, which is unusual given the high unemployment, and business failures.  They say Japan population rate is dropping, but you don't see it in the subway system, it's always packed every work day.

That's true, but the long-term resident of Japan doesn't spend nearly as much for things as someone just visiting for a few weeks. Most of my Japanese friends were living in these tiny 6-mat rooms that they were paying anywhere from 5-80,00 yen a mth for. There are restaurants where the Japanese buy a set meal (teishoku) for 600 yen.

The thing with WGs is that that is what a Japanese guy is expected to pay. And tho the yen has risen in value against foreign currencies, the Japanese themselves don't think of 100 yen as equaling $1.1; for them prices in yen have actually fallen for most things these last 20 years.

There have been some interesting articles recently about how young Japanese are not buying brand names anymore, or interested in purchasing cars. So yes things are changing to reflect the new economic reality of the average Japanese's reduced economic means. But it hasn't nearly reached the point where desperate Japanese women are going to some to HK and work for so little.

Actually bro Mars and others, my point was only to ask if perhaps the papas and mamas of Hong Kong are getting ready for an exodus of the Mainland gals when we hit lunar new year, not to dredge this whole question of whether the Japanese gals are fake again.

Sik, man, it might just be a coincidence.  As I said, Koreans observe the lunar holiday as well, and everything shuts down over there too.  It's hard to conceive K gals coming over if they're going to make less w/ a price drop.  I know less about the JGs and how the Japanese treat the lunar new year, but I still think the numbers in the DB are part of a recent up cycle.  Not easy to predict, but I doubt you actually need to get yourself a rubber doll.

We'll have to wait to see if the increase is just a temp thing to compensate for the New Year's haj back to the Mainland. Do the scholarly thing and write down the before/after numbers and let us know.

However, if it turns out that the number of JGals is increasing here in HK, that would seem to imply that the agents are making good money off these chicks and our little truth campaign isn't having much effect.
