I ask, cause I have an international BlackBerry number. One more question while I'm at it.... Do papsans and mamsans expect you to speak Mandarin/Cantonese if the girl speaks only those 2 languages? My Mandarin is 1/2 decent, but I find it hard to understand when I need to talk over the phone, I'd rather speak in English. Any info on this is appreciated. Getting prepared for my first time visit with a 141 girl.

They just want to see what number you're calling from. A mobile phone is best so that when you arrive at the hotel and call again for the room number, they know who it is. You don't need to speak Mandarin or Cantonese, although it helps if there's a problem. Usually the conversation just consists of - 'which hotel' and 'what time' and, when you arrive .... 'which room'?
