3 dead WG's

Just interested in hearing what guys think about the recent news killings of 3 WG's in Yuen Long and Tai Po done by this Pakistani dude.

I have the slightest feeling that I may have once been a customer of the deceased WG at Waiyi St.

what about the butchered "compensated dating" teen? o_O apparently it's becoming a trend, but the cops are raiding it.

It was mentioned because the Pakistani dude just got sentenced to life imprisonment. What would the punishment be under sharia law?

Great article in today's SCMP about that.  Explained the legality of prostitution, etc.  But referred to the industry as "one flat one" rather than "one floor one", which is what I thought it was called.

My concern is that everytime an article such as this is rehashed it makes it harder on the monger.  I would like to know what percent of WG's are subject to abuse, I for one appreciate the service and am pissed off whenever I hear of such abuse.  I do wonder if it is like an airplane crash, we only here of the .00001% that fall from the sky.

Under sharia law he probably would have gotten some sort of an award.  It seems that in the Muslim world you can do whatever you like to a woman and its no problem.

Probably not much more than you if you had read the SCMP ... like how much he paid ($1500 wasn't it?  - total rip off), what he did with the body, etc.

My point was that surely there must be some punishment worse than life imprisonment for this guy . . . And preferably worse than death too.

There is no punishment that could bring peace to those young lives and their families.
This pakistani man had life sentence and so what...? HK govenment still need to feed this psycho for life!
We all meet and have fun with 141 girls, but there is somebody with serious mental illness that abuse of minors and unprotected people! Can we do something about it beside writing our comments behind secret identity? No.
This is only one of the many cases I heard in HK. You might remember the case of Ting, the man who chopped a teenage girl and flushed her body parts down a toilet!
Again the China mainland man who slaughtered a family of 4 (including 2 young girls) last month and hid lifeless bodies in the backyard!
I mean, how could you possibly imagine a man responsible for such an horrendous fact!?

It is not just a matter only for our WG's, it's a matter for all defenceless people in HK.

My point is that these "seriously ill" persons, that are able to commit such ferocious and brutal murders, should have shown some sign even earlier in their pathetic lives, right!? I don't believe this people just wake up in the morning and start killing ...! Once police investigate on the past of these cowards they often find a history of criminal records disregarded, psychiatric examinations ignored and whatsoever ... an history that revealed the real nature of these murderers much in advance, when there was time to stop them and nobody did anything!
I am sure this Nadeem Razaq could have been diagnosed years earlier and he could have been cured or locked, if so all the pain he has caused could have been avoided!

Now is just too late and we can do nothing but mourning and wishing the worst punishment to the killer, one that anyway we could never carry out with our hands, because we are not at the same level with these "animals"!

It all seems so obvious now, but you speak with the certainty that only comes from 20-20 hindsight. So the government should oversee the lives of all its citizens looking for people who might commit crimes and forcing them to undergo some kind of treatment or preventative detention? Get real bro! Life is messy, unpredictable, and shit happens. For every guy like this who goes on to murder, there are ten thousand others with identical records who never harm anyone. Governments are not god, they don't possess infinite resources and certainly don't possess infinite wisdom. I'd find some intrusive, fallible, cover-my-ass  bureaucrat pouring over the details of everyone's life to be more dangerous than the occasional murder which would probably happen anyway. Check out the law of unintended consequences.

Mars, you've got a good point here! I must admit I was a little too idealistic!
Unintended consequences btw might be when a dispute end up the wrong way and one of the disputer gets killed or when the driver run over the old lady crossing the street! This was a serial killer that murdered cowardly 3 women in quick succession (and how many more ... we don't know) withouth a wrinkle on his face nor the least sign of remorse! Though he pleaeded "not guilty"! So I find hard to believe he was a good citizen until just the day before! I really hope you are not right when you say there are thousands like him out there!

i agree that close one's can never be fully compensated for the mental anguish of losing someone.

But what can we really do? do we force psychiatric evaluations? human rights, anyone?

i believe that some people just 'snap' because, all of a sudden, their burdens crumble them.  bus uncle/airport lady are minor examples.  suicide is most common.  i think the solution is not finding these people before things happen, but to make society a good enough place, so that noone will have to resort to those things.

unfortunately, the world is not perfect and people will always get neglected in one way or another.  that's just the sad reality of it.
