Quick question: what's your thumb doing in her mouth in the first place?  Anyway, did she brush her teeth prior?  This could cause bleeding.  Not much else you can do, I suppose, except put a band aid on it and get those tests.

Also, this cut sounds like it is caused by her teeth. The HIV virus does needs infected fluid to be transmitted. The teeth has no fluid it can pass to the cut. But, other diseases could be transmitted.
